Many years ago, I faithfully watched 21 Jump Street (the original). I remember in particular this one episode with a Polish exchange student (?) who was visiting the school. She was a wild child, and the “kiddie cops” were having a hard time keeping up with her as she zoomed down the street on the back of the proverbial “bad boy’s” motorcycle.

But they finally got her under control, and she said, rather painfully, “the leaders (communists) bore the people.”

These folks in charge are terribly dull, dreary, and tedious.

I thank God for George Cardinal Pell. He vanquished the atheists. I wish I could find that for you. I will try.
“toxic nightmare”? Wait until the devil claims old man Bergoglio’s soul.
I have been an admirer of Cdl. Pell for around 20 years – he is a great man who has suffered much from within the Church & without, and it is my prayer that he will one day be elevated to sainthood, along with Abp. Fulton J Sheen and Abp. Marcel Lefebvre..

David, I went to the America article you linked (it’s much as one would expect) and read the comments. My favorites so far are the folks insisting Cardinal Pell cannot be considered pro-life because they feel he was a ‘climate-change denier’. :sigh:
Runners-up are the who-is-he-to criticize-Francis-cuz-Francis-was-picked-by-the-Holy Spirit-and-so-you’re-blaspheming-when-you-criticize-him types. I wonder how those folks would respond when reminded of either the Borgia Alexander VI, or John XII— who was killed by a man who caught him in bed with his wife…
Thanks David for the link: The comments in The American Magazine are triggering. Are any of those people even Catholics? However one comment was good and spot on:

Pope Francis is doubtless a nice man, but he is in way over his head. The office is too big for him, and it clearly shows.
Cardinal Pell is being maligned after his death because he spoke the truth, and was he was an intelligent individual and didn’t accept mediocrity. That unfortunately was also his downfall. His persecution was a result of his refusal to “play the game”. But those who have followed his work and supported him, see through the lies. He doesn’t have to endure the lies anymore, however it’s still upsetting for his supporters to hear and read the false narratives.
