If memory serves, during my college days young men and young women spent a fair amount of time studying each other intently. Except for MRS majors, I doubt if anyone was doing it for the employment opportunities however, unless someone’s father was head of a major corporation. (Lest I come off too cynical I know of several very happy marriages that began due to a young lady going off to college with the hope of marrying a classmate. The same could be said for young men who often had the same, albeit almost always unexpressed, hope.)

Last I checked, there were about 1.9 million baccalaureate degrees awarded each year, of which 1,400 were awarded in women’s studies and the like. Students aren’t interested in this cr!p. The scandal of women’s studies is that it amounts to patronage for favored political interests, commonly on the public dime. The faculty have forfeited the right to govern institutions.
The most salient problem in higher education has been the maintenance of pseudo-professional schools and the invasion of witless social ideologies into the curriculum of several academic disciplines. The way you attack it is to shut down those professional schools by statute and to install boards composed of people who take their fiduciary responsibility seriously (and will shut down the corrupted academic departments and start firing bad actors in the administration).
Women are mysterious creatures. I’m still studying them.
(it’s no wonder that the oceans and seas referred to in a feminine pronoun. I’m sure they don’t teach that in college.)
Why is it that pronoun use is so important to the Left?
Pronouns are always used in the third person, when the person you’re referring to… isn’t even there.
