There would be more depression, more suicides and yes more illness without secular and religious events and holidays, especially in the upper latitudes. Kind of reminds me of early in our marriage we argued which is better: the anticipation of an event/holiday or the actual event/holiday. After so many years of marriage I cannot remember who advocated which side. Stupid it seems now.
Cancel warriors are in abundance these days. They wish everyone to be as depressed as they are. Pests.
I have never, not once, gotten sick over Thanksgiving.

Maybe the “doctor” should be encouraging folks to eat more fruits/vegetables and exercise the rest of the year.
My dumb Facebook feed had two posts about “Stolen Land” and “[Expletive-Deleted] Colonization.”
Yesterday, I was prayerfully thankful that I was not within a country mile of an asshat like that.
“May I suggest…”
After you cancel Government sponsored holidays how will you get the private constituents of government to cancel private holidays? In 1984?
Amen to all here. How utterly empty must one’s life be, to wish isolation and loneliness upon others?
Well, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My children and grandchildren were all here. And my son’s in-laws invited themselves and they came and we all enjoyed each other and the food and the games and all of that. Those other in-laws did have vaxxes and have had various illnesses on and off since. My unvaxxed family have not had the same.
I rejected the advice of ths quack and will do in the future.
We were invited to my brother’s house and had a great time.
She sounds like lots of fun. Giving her “expert” advice when no one asked for it. I hope she manages to give herself a big bear hug over the holidays.
