How Sad

To be part of a political party where the essential concern is the right to murder one’s kids.  What a damning indictment.

I’ve read that the show is set in New York. The over turning of Roe makes no difference in that state. Abortions will continue if not accelerate. More than 50% of black pregnancies are aborted. They won’t be happy until it is 100% of all pregnancies.

John, it is said there have been a 500% increase in stillbirths since jab rollout. May end in near 100% in some areas.

This might have potential to become a new “Internet Hitler” reaction meme. Starting next week with liberals reacting to red wave election results….

Good vs. evil. There is no middle ground.

Unfortunately, we have a professing Catholic in our area, Heather Turchi, a Republican woman who believes it is common sense to allow abortions up to 6 weeks & for children conceived in rape or incest. Turchi has been running against a rabidly pro abortion Democrat, Ashley Hudson, in west Little Rock, AR. The D organized pro abortion protests & generally beat the crazy pro abortion drum early on in the race—but has tried to behave as a “moderate” recently. Ashley Hudson. Hudson literally led a crowd in screaming “abortion” at the sky in protest of the SCOTUS ruling at the Little Rock, Arkansas, state capital. Turchi, as a Catholic, has compromised she says in her “strategy” to weaken the abortion laws in Arkansas to include rape & incest. Arkansas law, since the SCOTUS ruling & the certification of that ruling by our AR Attorney General is that abortion is allowed only to save the life of the mother in a medical emergency. This Catholic Republican woman wants taxpayers to have to pay for women to have free contraception. People like Turchi are keeping abortion legal. It is beyond sickening.

@ The Christian Teacher.

So many Catholics are opposed to the teaching, via CCC. Intrinsically evil. I suppose that the Holy Catholic Church will always have cafeteria Catholics but to have Catholic politicians supporting this evil is unacceptable. Bishops may be timid in confronting and admonishing these so-called Catholics but in the end they will suffer the consequences. Some Bishops, if they make it to Purgatory, might be pitching a tent there. Possibly a trailer.

How many dead children, who didn’t have to die, but suffered death at the timidity of religious leadership?

That question should keep many a Bishop up at night.

It should keep all of us up.
What have we done to hold these Bishops accountable?

Phillip, This CINO, Turchi, has just recently as in within the last few weeks, made her positions publicly known on these things. She kept them secret and used the political night of the prolife movement to advance herself until she could no longer hide the positions she is taking. She literally claims to those in the pro-life movement that she “has” to take these “moderate common sense” stands because the district for which she is running is “purple” and 47% are for abortion & 47% are against abortion. She has lord & told prolife organizers that she was “with them” but “has to do this” to get elected.

I have taken push back from several Protestants on this matter when I have called Turchi out in any way. One Protestant is the female director of the AR Legislative Prayer Caucus who has echoed Turchi’s excuses. This director is a Southern Baptist. I have gotten push back from a female, Pentecostal, AR state rep who is also a member of the National Association of Christian Law Makers which strictly has a membership that is against all abortion except to save the life of the mother in a medical emergency. I have told both women that since they are praying Turchi will win her race, that they also need to pray for Turchi’s eternal soul —and explained Catholic teaching on this matter. Another female, Republican, Protestant friend of Turchi’s tried to jump on me for my judgement of people who had been raped and/or had incest forced on them. I didn’t get a response from this Protestant when I asked her what God said about the shedding of innocent blood.
Another of Turchi’s Catholic’s friends is all for Turchi winning because Turchi is running against a rabid, heathen D. I do understand the vote for the lesser of 2 evils concept & have done it myself.
As you can imagine, Turchi has tried to contact me—and I have told them there is NO reason for us to discuss this matter further at this time. I have nothing to say that they want to hear. And it is going to take real concrete evidence of change over time before I have any interest in hearing what she has to say.

I plan to contact our Bishop but if necessity, it will be after the election. Squishy Rs rarely win against solid Ds. But we will see.

When I’ve posted here and everywhere else I’ve written, I’ve always strongly supported the pro-life position. But I believe that, prudentially, the way to achieve what we want to achieve is GRADUALLY. The way to get it, so that “it stays got” is pass laws state by state, that meet people where they currently ARE, then every couple of years revisit the issue, all the while doing what we, as a pro-life community, have always been doing–marching, supporting crisis pregnancy center, praying at abortion facilities. WE have created the current atmosphere–the vast majority supporting at least SOME restrictions on abortion. We have brought people along with us to that view. It will be work, but we can and will take it further. And don’t give up on places like California or NY. Remember, they told us Roe would NEVER be reversed! We will get to a fully pro-life America–but we have to do it gradually–we try to do it any other way, the next time democrats take over they’ll reverse it. Remember, Lincoln was a gradualist, when it came to slavery (until he was overcome by events)…

They can’t campaign on their HUGE failures [crime. drugs, war on fossil fuels (eat or heat you can’t afford both), fentanyl deaths, soaring murders, inflation, looming recession, no borders/destabilize whole cities, etc.].

So, the go-to is “Those evil, hateful Republicans won’t let you kill your unborn human being.”

{EXPLETIVE-DELETED] them all.

Pray for the best. Prepare for the worst.

I knew someone like BPS would respond with an excuse for Turchi’s intent to weaken the abortion laws in the state of Arkansas. The state of AR currently only allows abortion if the life of the mother is at risk in a medical emergency. Turchi wants to weaken current AR law to allow abortions under other more situations. People like her, & you, who make excuses for her intent to increase unnecessary abortions are literally what is keeping abortion legal. Don’t try to blow smoke to cover the unvarnished truth of what is going on in this situation & others. She and your support of folks like her will expand abortion our my state. Again, what does God say about the killing of the innocent?

I’m with you TCT.

I agree.
The small bites to eat an elephant is rational except in this case.
In this case Roe is finally toast.

Momentum.

All in.
The Bishops…United…can make it happen. If they fail to hold Catholic politicians accountable here and now then they run the risk of a huge fumble on the goal line.

50% of the USCCB united on this pinnacle topic would be a considerable effort….but realistically…where are they?
5% to 10% willing to follow the lead from San Francisco’s Archbishop..if that?

Prayers folks.
Prayers and letters. Phone calls, appointments and meetings.

What’s at stake?
Tax exempt status?
Lower Church revenues?

Human life?

What’s at stake?
Tax exempt status?
Lower Church revenues?
Human life?
The Catholic Church is supported by donations. Taxpayers have already paid the taxes due on their money. It is taxation without representation or double taxation for the Chruch to lose its tax free status.
Human life is the ultimate gift from “their Creator” (Declaration.) Our Founding Principles acknowledge God.
USCCCB would do well to point that out.
God gave us freedom.

The difference between turning opinions gradually on slavery and turning those on abortion is that lives are at stake. Taking the slow
approach will mean thousands if not millions will continue to die. It has to end today. Imagine if this was closer to home and it meant a family member would live or die based on which State they happened to live.

New Amsterdam actors are awful actors.
I started watching the clip and didn’t get it at first and thought “who died?”. Then I realised, “oh it’s cause they can’t pick and choose who dies. So they’re sad.” Didums.
