The Democrats during the Republican primaries often used their advertising to covertly support MAGA Republicans, assuming they would be easy to beat in the general election. This was hilarious as the Republican party is in the midst of a populist-conservative remaking into a stronger party with much more appeal to voters of all races: a party of the vast middle class. The Democrats thus helped bring the strongest GOP candidates to the fore. Euripides said it well long ago:
