Anyone who spends any time in Paris notices that life is pleasant & people are polite & genteel esp as the French Gendarmerie exists to vigorously “encourage” that politeness & gentility by dealing swiftly with those who would impair it … #vivelafrance https://t.co/LhkZEL98Hc

French Gendarmes have a very limited sense of humor and believe in hitting first if they encounter any resistance to their enforcement of the law.
As punishment for these antics, they really ought to be dumped out into the woods, 40 or so miles away from indoor plumbing, on a nice warm November day that will surely plunge down to 32F or so at night. Wash, rinse, repeat as needed.

They do this nonsense because they truly have no clue what life without fossil fuels is like. Now I did have a good time on our “survival week-end” (I’m very thankful we didn’t have to skin a rabbit and cook it–our group wasn’t that dedicated), but I was happy to get back to home to a natural gas heated house.
.
Incidentally, I saw an ad at the gas station pump yesterday. A solar power company is looking for private land to buy to put up those wretched panels. I personally like solar panels on a small scale–I have two bird bath accessories that are solar powered operated, and a fellow camper clued us into a solar powered generator they use for their RV when there is no electricity hook-up. The power company in question, however, admitted in the commercial they need vast tracts of land to build a solar farm.

Hmm, did anyone ask how that will impact the flora and fauna? I’m guessing it won’t be good for them
