A Bit Too Accurate For Comfort

Overblown like most propaganda, but far more effective than what they were cranking out in Soviet days.  Of course the best way for the Russians to stop emigration would be to get rid of Putin and end their attempt to conquer Ukraine.

Be careful what you wish for. I’ve heard claims that Putin is the moderate and many who would replace him are far more militant.

I can’t verify them, but it wouldn’t be the first time in history we removed one problem only to have a worse one take its place.

Because you’ve studied and know all about Putin’s competition, Don? Do you have a preferred replacement picked out?

If you have information countering the claims then post it. (i.e. “Zhirinovsky makes Putin look moderate and reasonable”) Don’t just resort to personal attacks and mockery like Shea would.

Noteworthy. Putin committed these international crimes, i.e., invasions and annexations, when Bush, Obamba and Chinese Biden were POTUS.

Trump was right about everything.

The worst is yet to come.

Ignore reality. Invite catastrophe.

Any Russian with the nerve to cross the Bering Sea in October in an open boat should certainly be welcome.

Lavrov is considered the hardliner but that is like saying Himmler was the hardliner only because Hitler did not want to get his hands dirty. Himmler implemented the programs of the Wasne conference but it was Hitler’s programs.

Yup.
Safe to say, that if it weren’t for the Biden Administration and the religion of Woke…
Putin would not have invaded Ukraine.

I feel no compunction over what “some” people who look like me did to black persons years ago, but I do feel guilty as an American when it comes to how the Ukrainian people are suffering now because of a stolen election.

Don: the conservative “admiration” for Putin:
1. Some Americans admire a “kick-butt” image in a leader, as they admire a “kick-butt” Dad or coach. They confuse resolution with brutality.
2. Some, like Pat Buchanan, admire an openly nationalist leader in the face of globalism and the submergence of national economies and identities in an amorphous power-grid their own countries and communities can no longer control, and which they perceive as increasingly used to control them. Again, Putin promises to demolish one power-grid only to replace it with his own: a Napoleon denouncing the Bourbons.
3. Putin made a show of “family values” early on: support for the Faith (in a church he controls like a Byzantine emperor) against abortion (which he has not banned), and refusing to extend “gay rights” to those teaching children. It is also legal to home-school in Russia (something “democratic” Sweden and Germany don’t allow, and which France is in process of banning).
Some conservatives forget that “Potemkin” is a Russian word. The show is not the reality.
