He claims that he is a practicing Catholic? Apparently he needs one hell of a lot more practice.

He also said he’s black and Hispanic, as per a few blog posts ago. I think he more like resembles a llama than he does a Catholic. Yep.

As much as I despise Biden and his political party, it must be pointed out that Biden is the result of over fifty years of silence from the US Catholic Bishops. They say and do nothing to support the pro life cause as a body and it has been this way since 1973. They have refused to confront abortionist politicians who call themselves Catholic.
Illegal immigrants, nuclear war and the endless calls for “dialogue”…those and begging for money (which is the only time the faithful hear from their Bishop) is what we hear.
Sometimes, I think that it is a miracle that there is still a Catholic Church in the US.

Of the dem political ads playing around here, about 85% are about abortion. 10% are about “climate change” and the remaining 5% have the theme “we must perpetually increase the funding for education without questioning results.” But the vast majority are for abortion.

A lot of them don’t even make an argument for abortion, and in fact talk about the issue in such a way that I have trouble believing that even a pro-abortion voter wouldn’t get a little uncomfortable. For example there is one ad with an old man saying “I am a grandfather. I have daughters, and my daughters have daughters. The most fundamental right for my daughters and granddaughters is to have the right to abortion.” But he doesn’t elaborate, and it’s hard to take anything away from this other than “I have daughters and granddaughters, and I’m glad that they had the possibility of being killed in the womb.” Similarly there is another ad where a woman says that her son had the possibility of having a birth defect, and that if he did she would have needed to abort him so that he wouldn’t suffer. This is literally an ad about a woman talking about how she seriously considered killing her son; imagine being her son and seeing this.

Notably none of the ads are from women who actually had abortions. I think that the left realizes that having a woman gloat about actually killing her children would still be a bridge too far for the independent voters.

But the incredible push on this issue to the near exclusion of other issues is so deranged that I think it is a literal demonic obsession.

“ He claims that he is a practicing Catholic?”

No, no, no, no. Biden claims to be a DEVOUT Catholic. God forbid we be inaccurate about his lies.

We have a lot of abortion adverts in my area, but the theme is often about “I was raped, who is so-and so-politician to tell me about my choices.” Another one says that the proposed amendment to the state constitution would bring our state back to what it was under Roe–although I am thinking it will take us far beyond Roe to some really dark places-and Roe was very dark

DJH.

The link provided is from the Diocese of Lansing. I know there’s multiple states with similar abortion proposals but I’m guessing that you live in Michigan. If I’m wrong, my apology.

Good morning. Saturday is a day particularly dedicated to our Blessed Mother whereupon we also pray the Joyful Mysteries. Ave Maria! Finally: Here’s one of the most helpful guides to Proposal 3 produced so far. Created by the Michigan Catholic Conference, it’s a really clear explainer pinpointing the dangers contained within the text of Proposal 3. It’s superb! Read & share: https://www.micatholic.org/assets/files/advocacy/defeat-proposal-3/proposal-3-explanation.pdf

As far as going to darker places if this passes I would say yes. The language in the proposal is open-ended, causing many to fear the consequences. not limited to
healthcare providerany individual

No parental consent.
No positive detail on who healthcare worker is and their credentials.
No recourse for botched abortions.
No age directives being stated in proposal. A minor to give consent?

It’s to vague and the devil wants it that way.

No on Prop 3.

Philip, you are correct. I am in (mid) Michigan.
.
My understanding is that Prop 3 can be twisted around to codify the practice of allowing minor children to start the transition process at school–no parental involvement needed.
.
I know to vote No on all three Prop, but I have only seen advertisements on Prop 3. I have seen no information on Prop 1 (something to do with politicians) and Prop 2 (something to do with vote security). We do not have TV, so perhaps that is why. On YouTube, the only political ads I see are related to abortion. Seriously, all abortion and a “woman’s right to choose”–like no other issue exists, like what gas/energy prices are doing to my children’s fragile incomes and what inflation has done to the purchasing power of our “fixed income.”

If I’m understanding what I’ve been reading lately, the jurisprudence in future struggles regarding abortion, gender reassignment et al, will be based upon this poorly written document and the conservative opinions thereof will fall mute to the ambiguity of this document…no recourse except having a new referendum to abolish this tripe being voted on in November if indeed it passes.

I Pray we get help from above and it fails miserably.
