It’s a never-ending “this guy” with Pope Bergoglio.
The Faithful are an afterthought when it comes to his desire for face time with tyrants–see also Ukraine. There, he insisted on meeting with Putin before seeing his bombed and ethnically-cleansed flock. The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was once renowned (by fellow Catholics) and reviled (by the Orthodox and Soviets) for her loyalty to Rome.
Not so much any more–he’s doing a first-rate job of disabusing them of that.
And people still think he’s a nice man and good father figure.
Francis will not be Pope forever, thanks be to God. If the next Pope is actually interested in Poping and not being another Francis, just imagine the mess he’ll have been left to clean up.
If our next Pope is a serious man and not another fool like Francis, I do not envy him.
Yes, indeed “boundless contempt” for this pope as he grovels for their approval.
