Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

I would not be at all surprised if, deep down, he envies them.
“The silence of the Pope is deafening.” Not at all. It is more akin to a roar of approval, or minimally indifference. It is consistent with the antagonist stance to the Catholic Church which he seeks to convert into a One World Religion. Problem: he seems to have the support of a majority of the hierarchy. Holy Mother of God, pray for us.

If it doesn’t involve sound bites then he isn’t interested. It’s too hard for him to stand up for trouble making Priests who are giving the corrupt Nicaraguan government a hard time.
“With ongoing military actions in the world today (think Ukraine), raising someone from the military for veneration may not be appropriate for our Church.”
That Greg, is utterly infuriating. I don’t imagine any of those pansies ever performing an act of charity for a cockroach let alone taking a bullet for their fellow man. Useless fat-cat seat warmers is what I am picturing.
