Vote Democrat: Mortal Sin

Over a dozen years ago I voiced this statement, in print:

It is a mortal sin for a catholic with a well-formed conscience to vote for any democrat at any level of government.

I have repeated this in numerous articles and in letters to editors across the country every election cycle since then.

My bases for the statement were: catholic teaching and doctrine; science and medicine; the past actions of democrats; the present actions of democrats (at whatever time I was writing); and what they publicly, and often loudly, proclaimed they were going to do and promised to do if elected. As the years passed, again and again they did something that they had previously promised to do that resulted in more and more dead people –  victims of mercy murder or (so-called “happy death,” “death with dignity,”  or “euthanasia); those killed in aided homicide (so-called “assisted suicide”); unborn baby murder (abortion); and embryo murder (resulting from so-called “embryonic research”). When the numbers of the fatalities due to abortion alone are now taken into account, it is undisputed that the democrats (the Party of Death) have promoted the killing of over 63,000,000 babies.

What the democrats are now doing and what they are trying to accomplish are factors which catholics are required to learn and know in correctly forming their consciences. Critical considerations are:  democrat past efforts to enshrine in law intrinsically evil actions; and democrat present actions seeking to legitimize actions which, according to church teaching, are intrinsic evils.

Actions of intrinsic evil are always evil, always morally wrong, no matter what the circumstances, no matter what the intent of the persons doing the actions. Intrinsically evil actions include torture, unjust war, racism, genocide, attacking noncombatants in war, voluntarily engaging in homosexual actions, and human trafficking. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has stated that intrinsic evils also include: abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, deliberately redefining marriage in ways that violate its essential meaning, human cloning, in vitro fertilization, and the destruction of human embryos for research.

The democrats have succeeded in the past in getting many of these intrinsically evil actions not only recognized and sanctioned by our laws, but funded, directly or indirectly, by every citizen’s tax dollars. At the present time, this Party Of Death is attempting to effect more changes to our society and to enact more changes to our laws which will further promote intrinsic evils. In some cases, they are attempting to accomplish these changes via presidential executive orders. For example, the present efforts of democrats include:

  • Legally enlarging the scope of a woman’s so-called “right to abortion” to include the right to kill her baby for some time period once it has been born, including  the cases in which a baby has survived a mother’s and an abortionist’s attempts to murder it in an abortion
  • Making abortion part of “health care” under Medicaid regulations, in all laws related to health, and for all government agencies involved in health care
  • Force all citizens to pay with their tax dollars for abortions with no opt out based on conscience
  • Killing more minority babies in abortions
  • Requiring public schools to teach children perverted views of sexuality; “transgenderism;” that “marriage” includes so-called “same sex marriage” and whatever any legislature chooses as the definition of marriage; and concepts of family contrary to church teaching
  • Meeting with pro-abortion Latino state lawmakers at the White House to discuss ways to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions in Hispanic-American communities.
  • Legalizing sex-selection abortions (the overwhelming majority of which involve the murder of a little girl baby)
  • Eliminating now legally-established parental consent for a minor’s abortion
  • Eliminating now legally-established informed consent laws which require that abortion businesses and abortionists tell women and girls the truth about the barbarities of abortion procedures  and the terrible and horrorific consequences of abortion, including post-abortion stress syndrome
  • Issuing a presidential executive order directing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to explore ways to avoid the Hyde Amendment and use Medicaid dollars to pay for pregnant women in pro-life states to travel to other states for an abortion.
  • Voting down, in the Senate, a bill amendment that affirmed that only women can have babies
  • Rejecting efforts to expand Medicaid coverage to new mothers
  • Continuing and enlarging the scope of their non-border policies – whose main purposes are to create new voters for democrat candidates and to take over now-non-democrat states – that engender, facilitate  and promote human trafficking
  • Furthering democrat RETA policy – racial eugenic targeted abortion – in accord with which about half of abortions in the USA were the murders of minority babies, but their mamas account for less than 20% of the entire population; and, due to the astounding number of black babies killed, resulting in black genocide

Part of what the church requires for forming one’s conscience correctly is learning the truth about issues, candidates, parties, their history, their goals, and their promises. This means that all of what the members of the Party Of Death say they will do and what they are now trying to do is part of what a catholic must learn and know in the formation of conscience.

In the past, both in political speeches from pulpits and in veiled efforts to convince voters to vote for democrats and not to vote for members of other parties, many clergy – including deacons, priests, pastors, bishops, archbishops, and cardinals – in the face of the democrat promotion of intrinsic evil, have spewed the moral and theological gibberish that catholics “are not single issue voters” or that every issue must be scrutinized against the backdrop of alleged “proportionate reasons.” There are no “proportionate reasons” that justify a catholic in voting for democrats who advocate for and promote actions of intrinsic evil. A single democrat issue, aim,  goal, or previous success involving intrinsic evil cannot be ignored to justify a vote for a democrat or to vote against a candidate or party that a catholic despises.

It is beyond irony that a large number of those clergy – at all levels up to princes of the church – who for many years tried to sway catholics to vote for democrats are now disgraced, in hiding, convicted of crimes, in jail, on probation, or in prison.  Those priests, pastors, and prelates who have covered up the crimes of the ordained criminals and their clerical enablers within parishes and within the hierarchy have paid out billions of dollars of the money of the faithful to settle claims against the church, and they have almost always made diligent efforts to keep everything about the crimes and the settlements secret. The crimes of the overwhelming majority of these ordained sexual predator priests, bishops, and cardinals are based on their own intrinsically evil actions which have injured, defiled, and in some cases destroyed, thousands of innocent victims worldwide – actions which the democrats for decades have sought to legitimize and now to celebrate.

The list above will be updated shortly before the upcoming Fall elections because demons and democrats never sleep – and they relentlessly continue to refine and develop their plots, maneuvers, and schemes to kill – literally and spiritually – more of the people made in the divine image and likeness of God. To repeat:

It is a mortal sin for a catholic with a well-formed conscience to vote for any democrat.

Some things are self-evident. I’ve never met a self-professed Democrat who didn’t think they were the author of reality. They all believe they can call evil good, and it is so. That a man or woman can claim to be the opposite, and it is so. That they are the authors of love inasmuch as whatever they call love, it is so. As a practical matter, this means children can be surgically mutilated by adult Democrat party members and laws passed to stop it, like those in Florida, can be ignored. In other words, at the most fundamental level of reality (who we are, what we are made for, what is love, what is marriage, what is moral or immoral, and more) Democrats believe they decide, not God. Either He doesn’t exist, or He agrees entirely with them. So yes, voting for the party of “I will not serve” is a mortal sin. IMHO

Excellent job Guy.
Admonishing the sinner well means making darn sure that the beam has been removed from one’s own eye first. I’ve read your posts for a couple of years now and have concluded that your heart is right and your words are true.

Tell it like it is.

The Democrats platform is built upon the blood of millions of children.
The blood of the innocents have a very special effect upon Almighty God.

Mercy first.
Justice next.

May the Democrats change their hearts, repent and be forgiven by Christ, before the day of Justice arrives.

I would submit one exception: In a competitive primary, vote for the weakest democrat so that the other party has a better chance of winning. Dems have started to do this in Republican primaries and turn about seems the best remedy.

Absolutely agree 100% with your comments. I would hazard a guess that at least 75% of our so called Catholic bishops vote the straight democratic ticket. They are cultural democrats who probably do not believe either that Christ rose from the death or the True Presence or the efficacy of the sacraments, but they do not have the integrity to admit that which would entail giving up their perks and go sell used cars. I apologize to used car salesmen who have more integrity than most bishops. But what else is new. Bishops have been acting this way since Judas. Even Peter couldn’t watch one hour with Our Lord in His Passion in the garden. All the Apostles except John were cowering in a room while the crucifixion was going on. The lesson: don’t lose heart. That’s what the devil wants. Pray for the bishops as hard as that is at times. Because they throw us under the bus doesn’t mean we should throw them under too as inviting as that must be. I end with a quote from Joan of Arc when she was being tried for heresy about what the church is: her answer, “the church is Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ is the church.” Don’t lose heart my friends.

My priest said to me only this past week –and consider that I live in a “good” orthodox diocese–that probably half the priests voted demoncrat. And how many of our bishops or cardinals? When the leaders refuse to speak the hard truths or are involved in sinful situations themselves, they will not speak against the demonic agenda of the demoncrats.

Amen to all, and special thanks for the encouragement to prayer for our wayward shepherds. That really is important for them and for us.

“It is a mortal sin for a catholic with a well-formed conscience to vote for any democrat at any level of government.”
No Democrat has a well-formed conscience or he wouldn’t be a Democrat in the first place. So by this definition is he really committing mortal sin by voting for other Democrats?

“They are cultural democrats who probably do not believe either that Christ rose from the death or the True Presence…”
.
That would certainly explain why they closed down the parishes for weeks (months in some locales??)

I agree about democrats, y the same logic, many votes for republicans are also mortal sins. Many republicans support baby murder in rape cases, legal recognition for homos, etc.
Trump pushed a baby parts based jab and monoclonal antibodies prior to the 2020 election. Voting for Trump 2020 was a mortal sin.

I know a Catholic who thought it best to vote for that harmless ineffective old man who could do no harm (hidden in the basement, criminality whitewashed by the media) … because that very intelligent voter thought Trump so orange and despicable that Biden could be a placeholder who would do us no harm until that voter could vote next cycle for a “good” republican (think of the propaganda from Lincoln project). That voter was duped as were so many who buy “situational” ethics

I would be very anxious about classifying anything as a ‘mortal sin’. The thing is, for committed Catholics, there’s hardly been anyone active in the Democratic Party in federal institutions who was not on the wrong side of non-negotiable issues. Remember Bart Stupak? I think his caucus might have encompassed about 6% of the Democratic congressional delegation and they weren’t exactly militants. That was 13 years ago; its a reasonable wager the equivalent body of Democratic legislators is close to nil.

At the state level, non-negotiables are now subject to the discretion of legislators, so they’re most important for influencing voting behavior. You had consequential characters working at the state level for 15 years or so after they’d disappeared at the federal level. Gov. Casey was most prominent among them.

At the local level until now, the non-negotiables haven’t been prominent. The thing is, you’ve developed a different problem at the local level, which is the contrived abuse of white students (and, now and again, white employees) as a matter of institutional policy. It is certainly sensible to vote against this in all circumstances. Not sure its a mortal sin to fail to do so.
