Not sure what’s intended here, but today is the feast of St. Apollinaris, bishop and martyr. The Saint Andrew Daily Missal has this entry on him:
Apollinaris is said to have come from Antioch to Rome with St. Peter who anointed him bishop and sent him to Ravenna to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore the epistle chosen [1 Pet. v. 1-11] is that in which St. Peter describes the duties of those who are to guide the Church, not domineering, but as models of the flock. The Gospel [Luke xxii. 24-30] also says “that the one who is greatest shall be like the least, and the one who governs like the one who serves’.

There’s a few more details about his arrest and martyrdom, but this first part hit the bullseye for me.
