PopeWatch: Gag me

So the Pope makes himself a political prop for the pro-abort “Catholic” tyrant of Canada and apologizes for a completely made up controversy.  Go here to read about it.  Despicable is the mildest of words that PopeWatch would apply to this Pope.   The Truth Faith is misled by a complete knave.

Such a slander against all the faithful men and women who gave their lives to Christ’s great commission. He only destroys, he never builds up. He is a chastisement for sure.

Unjustin Untrue, Tyrant Totalitarian. Sic semper tyrannis-recall the image of the beaten, spit-covered bodies of Mussolini and his mistress hanging upside down at a gas station. Guy, Texas

I’ll admit I’m still fuzzy on the Canadian story. 9 of 10 stories I read paint it as something akin to genocide by the Church, and 1 of 10 write as if it never happened.

Already the ‘mass grave’ story has been revealed to be just this side of a hoax. An academic researcher made some amateur’s effort with ground penetrating radar. There is no secure idea of how many bodies are buried there, much less any indication that the number would exceed what you’d expect from ordinary mortality rates at that time and place.

And the whisper of non-hoax is that yes, olden days had horrific infant mortality rates.

Everybody else, too.

About the worst thing you can say about the residential schools is that after the government took them over, they did such a terrible job of keeping track of the graves that it was faintly plausible that the holes in an orchard were graves, not…you know… holes dug in an orchard for orchard reasons.

See also, the Irish “babies in a septic tank” story.
The official report on that one is clearly a committee effort, and you’ll come away with the feeling that the worst American DMV is a shining example of competence and efficient work.

Maybe soon he’ll offer an apology for the Church converting pagan Rome?
Probably not, it doesn’t offer the same rewards of virtue signaling and gaslighting as other subjects..
But it’s possible in the near future there may be a strong incentive.

Commenter Greg Mockeridge was recently complaining about offering forgiveness to the unrepentant. My sore spot is apologies from people who weren’t the actors to people who weren’t the victims. I can maybe see if the Pope is speaking as “we”, but that gets murky too. Either way, we’re in a culture that doesn’t value personal accountability, so we should be extra-diligent about our whos and whoms.

I think the Cardinals who foisted this intestinal blockage of a pontificate on the world are the ones who owe an apology!

Ignorant of history. Ignorant of Scripture. Ignorant of Catholic doctrine. Ignorant of politics. Ignorant of economics. Nothing between the ears but crap theology from the 1970’s. Pope Dunce the First strikes again.
