Yep

Even smearing the constitution with lemon juice and looking at it with night vision goggles at midnight fails to detect a right to abortion in that document.

If true, a terrible decision. No State should have the right to decide how old someone must be to be entitled to live. If States can determine the beginning then they can also determine when someone is “just too old” to be allowed to continue to live. California is probably going to pass a law allowing baby killing under the term of “Postpartum abortion”. Will the “Supreme Court” be OK with “abortion” up to one year? Two years? Three years? Evil.

It should be noted that even the US constitution did not mention slavery until after the Civil War. The Court has previously taken a position that, in effect, they would not accept cases until they were “ripe” for a decision. There were opportunities to reverse Roe on previous occasions just as there were opportunities to reverse Plessey before Brown. In the case of a post-partum “abortion”, there is already a law against murder of a person in all states and it would be assumed that such a case would meet the court’s standard as an original issue.

The U.S. was born out of the errors of Protestantism and the ideas of Kant, John Locke, and Rousseau among others which led to liberalism which leads to socialism which leads to Communism.
How does liberalism produce socialism and communism? By asserting that everyone is a free individual, and therefore equal in all respects. In the liberal State, if it is consistent with its principles, the government looks only at individuals, and will not recognize any other institution between itself and the individual. Hence it has a constant penchant to control institutions within its boundaries under the principle of asserting the “rights” of free individuals. It therefore reaches down into families, businesses, the Church, and any other institution, and with brutal authoritarianism, bypasses these institutions within itself, and imposes burdensome regulations. Socialism is the next step, which seeks to keep everyone equal, represses excellence, extols mediocrity, discourages entrepreneurship, and punishes profit with debilitating taxes, because everyone must be equal.

We see the effects of this intrusion of socialism into the family in the laws and practices of public schools which unabashedly deny parents their right to teach their children moral doctrines.

For the Left, therefore, liberalism was merely a passage towards socialism and communism.

My suspicion about S.E. Cupp is that she knows perfectly well half of what she says is hooey, but she has to earn a living and CNN is the one cutting the checks.

Regarding the proposed law in California….

“California Catholic Conference Executive Director Kathleen Domingo issued the following statement:

“Today’s hearing on Assemblymember Wick’s AB 2223 in the Assembly Judiciary Committee left open the question of legalizing infanticide in California, despite Wicks’ prior assurances to the contrary.

“The stated intent of AB 2223 is to ‘prohibit a person from being subject to civil or criminal liability for … a pregnancy outcome.’ The CCC worked with Assemblymember Wicks and her staff to clarify and narrow the bill language to protect innocent newborns and allow coroners to investigate infant deaths; however, we are incredibly disappointed that the imprecise language remains.

“AB 2223 now includes “perinatal death due to a pregnancy-related cause.” However, according to California Welfare and Institutions Code 14134.5, the term “perinatal” is defined as “the period from the establishment of pregnancy to one month following delivery.

“The California Catholic Conference opposes AB 2223 unless amended to definitively exclude infant death due to abuse or neglect.”

I hear in S.E. Cupp’s statements the faint echo of the segregationist’s and slave-holder’s lamentations over the demise of Plessy v. Ferguson and Dred Scott v. Sandford.
