Clearly this was leaked by someone on the Court, or a clerk or clerical worker for the Court, hostile to overturning Roe. Leaking a draft decision like this is unprecedented on the Court and heads should roll for this. Let us pray that none of the Justices change their minds as a result of the fury that the pro-aborts will unleash against them.
Go here to read the draft opinion. Please recall that until it is issued by the Court it has no legal significance. The draft was apparently circulated among the Justices on February 10. Such opinions often get extensively reworked in order to gain the necessary votes to reach a majority.
God be praised that I have lived to see this if Roe is finally overruled!
I’m a pro-life non-Catholic who thinks that abortion should be completely illegal, which is why I spend so much time keeping tabs on squishes like Shea and Greydanus. I don’t have the stomach to look up Shea’s posts in response to this leak, but Greydanus hasn’t posted anything yet. To be fair, he seems like the kind of guy who goes to bed at 9:00 PM. LOL.
looking at stories on Lucianne.com and Bongino about this, I conclude the leak appears to be a device to mobilize the left. Schumer is calling for overturning the filibuster so that a national abortion bill can be passed. Given that, how can any pro-life person (or Catholic) vote for a Democrat? What would Manchin and Casey do in that case?

I won’t believe it’ll be overturned until the court opinion is announced. Outrageous that a draft opinion would have been leaked. The only purpose would be inspire efforts to bully, threaten, harass and intimidate the SC justices into changing or modifying their opinion, and/or to help agitate for passage of a federal abortion rights law.
This is the reason I voted for Trump. Thank God and him for Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett

The Court’s press office confirms that the draft is genuine. The Chief Justice has assigned the chief of security at the Court to investigate. I guess he doesn’t trust the FBI either.

Colorado just passed legislation to allow no penalty for infanticide. California and Maryland have introduced legislation to also allow no penalty for infanticide. So if legally murdering human beings through abortion is diminished, the pro-baby killers, anti-humans have already prepared Plan B.

Firstly, the leaking of this possibly by the pro-abort crowd may backfire. I’m interested to be reading that much public opinion in mainstream media comment sections is in favour to overturn Roe vs Wade, even though pro-aborts are the ones who are the loudest in this debate. Partly because the “my body my choice” mantra of the pro-abort crowd has been adopted by Covid vaccine opponents and people are tired of the hypocrisy. And partly because they have seen that the abortion-on-demand over the past decades has proven to have no end-game except to make money for the abortion industry. It has done zilch to improve women’s lives, which is the lie that has been fed over again. So if they think that leaking it will cause a public backlash, I think they’re going to get a surprise.
Secondly, Let’s see if they can define a woman during the process or if she will be referred to as a birthing person.
Lastly, God-willing this goes through because Roe vs Wade set the precedent for other nations to legalise abortion. This is huge.

Elaine, here is what I found with one of those cases:

Personally my favorite part was the ‘women and other birthing people’ part. I think once you’re there, sweating when and how we eliminate the undesirables becomes rather trivial.
