I have read that there are still 9,000 Americans in Afghanistan. One of my friends who is retired Army Special Force’s officer (Ranger/airborne,) & foreign war veteran told me about a month ago that he has friends in Afghanistan still working to get Americans out of the country. The woman in this interview also references ongoing attempts to get people out of Afghanistan.

This pretty heartbreaking. We need to show this to the teenage girls in our lives so they can see that there is no obstacle in their path for them to obtain an education. So they can appreciate the fact. The sky’s the limit for them. Regardless of what first-world-problem “glass ceiling” we may allege is up there.
