Satan is certainly working around the clock these days.
God has a wonderful way of allowing “the Great Deceiver” a free hand…who then fails to control his desires and he oversteps believability. Many lukewarm and untutored are looking at Rome and announce they are “leaving the Church”.
These are days when one must sincerely question the basic tenets of their faith and its truths and nothing can more anchor that more solidly than seeing its flaws and their source. Satan’s rusty halos never work for those seeking God’s truth no matter what. Keep the faith–we really need nothing else.
Their glory is in their shame.
This pampered, tax-fattened heterodox ideologue is a Cardinal in good standing and the man being bombarded along with his flock in Ukraine will never be one.
Tells you all you need to know about the Jesuit at the top.
Dale, yes tax-fattened: But again another generally (physically) fattened Catholic “leader” that must tip the scales at plus-300 (350? 400?) lbs: I just keep noting this with many US and world bishops that evidence a compulsive eating disorder pointing to a deeper problem. It is a terrible image problem for struggling lower-middle and lower-class families and individuals trying to feed their households. The recently-retired (thank God) lockstep-pro- Francisco bishop of a diocese I formerly resides in easily was over 400 lbs. He literally took up two chair positions at meetings and needed a special chair (he would break a standard metal folding chair).
Bad image.
“The new existential atheism starts with a kind of atheistic egotism. Its argument in part is moral and in part philosophical. The moral argument is, as one of the atheists in the novel of Dostoyevsky put it, ‘Without God all things are possible.’ A popular God-is-dead book in the United States argues that homosexuality will become normal in a humanistic society where there is no restriction of morals which come from religion. St. Paul declared homosexuality and atheism were related to one another as effect to cause. Nietzsche argued precisely for this point in his ‘transformation of values’—namely, sin and crime should be multiplied to a point where one can say, “Evil, be thou my good; good, be thou my evil.” In upsetting the world and its Christian values, night will become day, and day will become night.”
From “Footprints In A Darkened Forest” by Fulton Sheen (1967)

Huh? This nonsensical. Evil & corruption do not bind those of a pure heart to itself. It sickens the pure in heart—in their very soul. No. We are not called to look over evil for the purposes of faith.
