One of the many things The Freedom Convoy has underlined is how few of the people in the political class have a clue how to get anything done once the people who do know, the people the political class frequently call deplorables, decide not to obey. The drones realize that they may not be running the hive much longer, and that terrifies them.

Right, Juliette, you get out there with a box cutter and try to slash those tires.
You’ll probably break a fingernail.
I love the furiously angry Lefties screaming vitriol from the safety of their recliners in their secure gated condos.
Atlas Joe-six-pack Shrugged, heh.
One thing pointed out on another site: A big reason for the leftist hysteria (though most of them do not realize this) is because this is a legitimately grass roots protest.
Allow me to explain: Leftist protests, whether it be BLM, the actions against Kavanaugh, the Pu*** march, etc., are all centralized and funded. There are people higher up who decide that there will be a protest and then put in operatives to make sure that it goes as planned. Not everyone at these protests is an operative of course, many are just there to join in on something big and there are usually opportunistic criminals taking advantage of the chaos. But the event only exists in the first place because of dictates from the top, and if they decide that it has run its course they can quickly cut out the core from the protest and thus cause the hangers on to scatter.
So they view protests as controlled events that can be called off easily when they become inconvenient. But the trucker protest is legitimately grass roots. There is no leader that started it and is continuing its existence. The left desperately wants some central figure that they can put pressure on to stop the whole thing, since there would be one in their protests. The fact that they have no one to appeal to is a big part of why this is making them lose their minds.
Poor Juliette. She’s concern-trolling because the Freedom Convoy is an economic and security issue now.
I’m going to bet that when antifa/BLM were rioting and burning cities last year she wasn’t denouncing that as an “economic and security issue” that needs to be shut down…
So they view protests as controlled events that can be called off easily when they become inconvenient.
And the actual leaders can be identified, and the guys who are placed to stir things up can be disposed of when needed.
Which doesn’t work for actual grass roots. 😀
Foolish woman apparantly doesn’t realize that a truck with no fuel AND flat tires doesn’t move well at all. Even if you can find a driver.
Lol. You’d probably need a machete or a katana or something to slash a semi tire and you’d likely hurt yourself. Then there’s the fact that you’d have to slash a lot of tires per truck to incapacitate it. Vandalism is much easier when it just involves breaking glass and knocking over shelves.
To follow-up on Pauli’s comment. I’m wondering how safe it would be to slash a semi rig’s tires. What PSI do they run? What are the risks of them blowing apart?
Big Rigs have to be handled with tender, loving care, or someone could easily kill themselves, something someone whose familiarity with automobiles begins and ends with the speed dial of a mechanic would know nothing about.
GregB, from comments on other sites, it appears that truck tires are steel-belted and are filled to 100 psi. One person who said he’d worked changing/replacing those tires said they can be dangerous and potentially lethal to mess with. Then again, if an apparent preponderance of professors actually knew anything practical, they wouldn’t be professors.
