Well… We have “Omicron” in the house, it’s a upper respiratory flu with a sore throat. So far my wife and I don’t have it. My sons do, and their friends, vaccinated and unvaccinated. It’s nothing to fear.
I hear that it’s estimated 95% of people with COVID today have Omicron. There may be people dying “with” Omicron, but unless one is very seriously immune compromised doubtful anyone is dying “from” Omicron.
That matches what I’ve been hearing, and also how I felt last week. Omicron apparently doesn’t damage the lungs, which was where the previous variants seemed to do the most damage.
Welcome to the club David. Its nothing to fear. A quick recovery for your sons- lots of fluids and rest. And hoping if you and your wife catch it, it’s mild and swift.
