Yep. I said it. I don’t think unvaccinated people should be gathering in churches for Christmas Eve / Day Masses. “Love thy neighbor,” says the Savior. @EricaRHill @jimsciutto @NewDay @cnn pic.twitter.com/3iCghHpV4I
— Father Edward L. Beck (@FrEdwardBeck) December 24, 2021
Our old friend Father Edward Beck, go here to read about him, eager to slam the Church doors in the face of the unvaccinated. I would say shame, but I assume the CNN priest is far beyond any possibility of feeling shame or compunction. Christ who touched lepers might wish to have a word or two with him about this come Judgment Day. Then recall that Beck wishes to deny people the Mass at Christmas over a disease that has an over 99% survival rate.

You put a white collar around a fool and they become an instant health expert. If they only were experts in their true field of expertise, the church wouldn’t look so stupid to the entire world. Being called “non-essential” works both ways.
It’s way past time to stop treating them as if they are normal people.
Evidently, father thinks if he’s wearing an overcoat and I’m wearing a speedo, he’ll get frost bite.
Then, they will deny health care to the unvaxxed.
I remember about 40 years ago when Fauxi’s [already a liar so long ago] propaganda and marketing [that’s his entire schtick now] had everybody believing everybody would die of AIDS.
How about we suggested don’t treat any active homosexual?
Their “polarization” is disagreeing with their totalitarianism.
I see the priest walking around the man who was beaten, robbed and left for dead. The low down samaritan, whom was scorned and ridiculed by many a holy man, took the time and energy…and money, to bound his wounds and give him comfort. Placed him in an inn. Relieved his fear.
Tonight of all nights, may we be that samaritan, not the priest. May we bound up our brothers and sisters wounds brought about by fear, by reaching out to them with acts of faith.
Fear has dominated our past 18 or so months.
No more.
We walk by Faith…
And what about the large number of priests like myself who refuse the vax? We could say mass for the unvaxed.. and you to the vaxed.. how crazy
And yet I bet he would have no problem giving communion to a pro-abortion politician.
One often gets the impression that a rather large percentage of our clergy don’t know the first thing about Christianity. If we can’t get better clergy, maybe we should stop ordaining altogether for the time being. We can do without them, in a pinch. What we can’t have is this relentless proclamation of false gospels. It destroys the church.
@G Poulin, I tend to agree with your impression, although in my recent experience (say the past ten years or so) nearly all the younger priests I have encountered seem strongly orthodox in their beliefs and practices. The generation formed in the 70’s and 80’s will be gone from the scene in a few years. It seems reasonable to hope that the quality of the clergy overall will improve as that occurs.
The homosexualist Beck has been given carte blanche by the Passionist order to spew his nonsense at will across multiple media formats while the FSSP has banned Father Daniel Nolan – who saw through the mask wearing/mRNA gene therapy injecting/lockdown scam for what it is a long time ago – from posting anything on the internet. Becker should have his faculties suspended and be sent to a distant, cold, spartan cell in a monastery for reflection and introspection until he converts to the Catholic faith.
As a parish priest the day after Christmas, there wasn’t much to be concerned about as the crowds expected never came.
This foolish narcissist got his degrees from and ego enhancement spa. The Passionists apparently like the rest of the clerical congregations appear to have Jesuit envy syndrome.
It is disgusting.
If I were unvaccinated, I would turn up to Church anyway. I wouldn’t leave. I would stay and listen to the homily, I would worship and I would queue up and receive Communion. I would make a scene. I would teach that priest until he physically dragged me away.
People like father beck do not own the Church. It is not their personal asset. Neither are the Sacraments. So he has no place to deny people the right to worship, even if his delusional mind has convinced him otherwise. So it’s all fluff coming from his mouth. Fluff.
The rights of practising faithful Catholics whoever they are whatever they are, stands that they receive the sacraments. Period. No human soul has the RIGHT to deny them this.
