Imagine Russia attacking Ukraine as China simultaneously attacks Taiwan. Imagine that Russia uses its Belgorod submarine & several Poseiden 6 nuclear powered, nuclear armed torpedoes to take out US naval bases on our coasts, and China uses its hypersonic missiles to take out our Minute Man silos in the heartland. Would Biden authorize our Ohio class SSBNs to launch a retaliatory strike or would he sue for peace?

Putin & Xi must be laughing their a$$es off at this photo. PS, the bow around the sonar dome is fiberglass, not metal, because hydrophones work better surrounded by fiberglass instead of metal.

Regarding your Q. in your first post, LQC, it is hard to imagine Biden, based on his historic Neville Chamberlainesque pro-appeasement all-talk-no-act history against China or Russia, launching a counterstrike. He is a Walter Mitty with no core.
On the other hand, had to say that our military capability at the present time is probably lower than any time since before Teddy Roosevelt. I have grave concerns of a massive defeat for America at present.
Xi is watching his back. And it’s partly due to China recording its worst economic growth in 30 years. And his cult of personality probably won’t save him. Not to mention that no nation outside of Russia, Syria and Iran want to willingly do business with China. I think his own party is slowly realising he is to blame. Praying this is true.

No matter what the news media and the government say, the Poseiden 6 is a first strike weapon. It is designed to destroy Naval bases BEFORE ships are sent to sea. And when it is in idle, it is virtually undetectable until the “big bang.”
