But on the bright side, it’s probably for the best that there is friction— imagine the damage these people could really do if this administration was a well-oiled machine…
It appears to be some sort of ceremonial occasion, so I would not expect him to greet her. It does appear that Sundown Joe ignored Douglas Emdorff’s nod, but who knows what’s going on in his dying brain. As far as I can see, it was Jill who switched positions for whatever reason she had (gripping her husband along the way). There was a space between her chair and the VP’s, so neither one of them would have been next to the VP.
Douglas Emhoff’s nod. Note, Kamala ends up in the President’s chair, it’s a reasonable wager it’s Emhoff she will be relying on more than anyone else to advise her.
I almost feel sorry for her. But she got what she wanted and moved up another rung on the power ladder.
That stiff demeanour isn’t fooling anyone. She looks frightened and out of her depth.

“Kamala Harris’ competence is mocked even by fellow Democrats, and her own staffers are lining up to jump ship.” That was predictable from day one. Wasn’t she the first democratic nominee to get the flick. They could have plucked any old soul off the streets and that person would have fared better than Kamala Harris.
