In general I agree with you LQC. However, I have seen roosters that decide to attack a hen for no particular reason and kill her over time. Most Islamic countries have nothing like this going on. Weaponized Sharia is the pretext for Taliban control, mixed in with the sheer joy of terrorizing others. Western civilization, sadly, provided quite a few examples of such savagery in the last century in Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, although these were extreme aberrations from the general flow of Western Civilization.
My thought just might be throwing caution to the wind, however I see in that the Taliban behavior, a satanic hatred towards young women. Almost an acting out of the hatred the devil’s have for Mary, Our Queen.
Satan hates being humiliated by the young virgin and as antiquity teaches us, the Holy Rosary is Satan’s worst nightmare, a reminder of Satan’s loss. HIs defeat, not by Jesus or the Fr. Almighty, but by the innocent dove, Mary. Just maybe that hatred towards Our Lady is manifested through Satan’s agents of destruction. In this case the Taliban.
Today, the agents of destruction seem to be on the increase. Could Satan’s days and influence on Earth be short?

Most societies aim for advancement and betterment for all its citizens. (Although, observations of abuses of individual freedoms over the past 2 years during Covid restrictions might indicate otherwise). Islam just goes backwards regardless of how modern or reformed it tries to package itself.
Dubai, like Afghanistan, is Islamic. But unlike Afghanistan, it hasn’t had conflict and it is considerably advanced and modern in terms of infrastructure and embracing western consumerism. Yet it still incorporates Sharia law within its governance. Women have rights to vote, work and own property but still require male guardianship. Women have no rights to their children during a marriage or divorce. Women have been imprisoned for reporting rape. Women are subjected to floggings if caught consuming alcohol and engaging in relations with men outside of marriage, far greater than their male counter-parts. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai kidnapped his daughter Princess Latifa after she tried to escape to England, and her sister Princess Shamsa on the streets of Cambridge. It is believed they are being held prisoner at home, denied communication with the outside world. Princess Latifa tried to leave to live a normal life. Mohammad Bin Rashid’s wife, Haya, sister of King of Jordan, also took the kids and sought refuge in England, and had to do so in secret. This is a man who rubs shoulders with British royalty and the western Elite.
Like Dubai, Saudi Arabia is also a peaceful nation, advanced and where some multi-national organisations have their head offices in ME. It now allows females to drive. But, it has a high level of domestic violence against women who defy their husband with no assistance from the judicial system. Sharia law is also used in governance

Islam now prides itself on recently outlawing female infanticide however honour killings by family members still exists across Islamic society along with female genital mutilation.
As long as women are defined as the property of their father or their brother or their husband, female Muslims will never have the quality of life that their western counter-parts have.
I would say the exception to the above, is Jordan. It is one of the only Muslim countries which genuinely is trying to give females rights and a humane existence within society. Queen Rania (with the support of King Abdullah) deserves due credit for this.
