PopeWatch: Catholicism?

The Church feels like a flock without a shepherd at the moment.
“hostile takeover”? I don’t think so. They willingly abandon Christ. Bergoglio said yesterday that the Church has “a great past but little future.” He has no faith. To him it is only a human institution.
The more Shepherds abandon their true Role… the more they’ll push things like “climate change” and say “we should listen to young people”.
From the article;
Europe’s ‘Silent Apostasy’ Recalled
It’s not clear how much the Catholic faith was discussed during the conference, but in a press release before the event Bishop Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo, the chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, recalled Pope St. John Paul II’s observation that Europe’s disease is the “silent apostasy” of the Christian faith that built it.
“It is clear that, for the best European thinkers, the value of the human person in its transcendent dimension and solidarity, justice, fraternal love and freedom are a consequence of the message of freedom brought by Jesus Christ into the soul of Europe,” Bishop Sanchez wrote, adding that without that transcendent dimension, “common justice, common fate and common home will collapse.”
“In short, the virus we have to combat is not only COVID in our bodies but mass atheism in our souls, which is present in the powers that be,” he said.
“…Mass atheism in our souls…”
The Church in Europe was a beacon. A means to navigate safely
into a protected harbor, but how good the beacon if the light goes out?
The hope isn’t found in “free money”
green economies or zero flu bugs.
Until they grasp the author of Hope, Light and Life, they will be bouncing off the rocks in the shoals…the blind leading the blind.
All that stuff is political. By now, everybody should know the TRUTH. Politics are essentially coercion and deceit. Orwell.
Economists, popes and weathermen have one thing in common. They can be wrong on everything and keep their jobs.
One, all those ‘things’ should be under the power of the individual, not an omnipotent, immoral state.
Two, climate change, socialism/the welfare state works, and the never-ending China virus reign of terror are all based on hoaxes, lies, and propaganda.
Amy Welborn has been on fire about the topic of late. She says the Church has become obsessed with “clout-chasing” and has lost confidence in her actual task.
More confirmation for her thesis.
