They Had a Little List

When you have blinding incompetence this deep, treason would be a preferable explanation.  I will let Dale Price at Dyspeptic Mutterings do the honors:

“U.S. officials provided Taliban with names of Americans, Afghan allies to evacuate”

And they did so knowing full well evacuating them all by August 31 was not possible.

On the other hand, the abandoned future hostages and death squad victims can console themselves with the fact that the compassionate, experienced, and competent are back in charge of America.

Not for nothing did Dante put betrayers in the Ninth Circle of Hell.

Go here to comment.  Restraining myself and not recommending lampposts and rope, I will merely say that all the civilian officials involved should be driven from public life, and all military leaders involved in this criminal idiocy should be court-martialed.

There are no words for this. It is impossible to believe that none of the many people in this administration involved in making the list and getting it to the taliban had no idea they were basically making a kill list?

If all — all the officials involved in this aren’t fired or court-martialed, then we can assume that this grotesque betrayal of our citizens and our allies was, for some reason, deliberate, and approved at the highest levels.

Just when you thought you had seen the stupidest and most evil thing anyone ever saw, they ‘one-up’ themselves.

My son works for a company that produces top level technology for the American military. As a veteran of Afghanistan war he was devastated by the method of withdrawal. He believes all the equipment(classified) was deliberately left behind at the behest of the Chinese government. There was no logical reason to withdraw in the manner that it was done. There had to be specific reason because you cannot have all of the upper echelon of the administration agreeing that this was the proper way of doing it when it obviously wasn’t. China will now have classified US technology and they got it in a way that didn’t require firing a shot. Just threaten Joe and Hunter who are beholding to the commies. If we don’t think it’s possible then we haven’t been paying attention to what’s happening around us in the last 5 years.

Reportedly, Chuinese Joe and the traitors handed over to the hajjis and Chicoms 600,000 weapons (including artillery), 75,000 vehicles, and 208 aircraft.

Is there another explanation? Of course, this stupidest thing anyone ever saw is good for China and bad for America and freedom. Chinese Joe’s masters – on-the-take war profiteers, China, et al – ordered him to commit this unrivaled travesty.

And the traitors who made this decision are part of our national security team?

We are screwed.

An insurrection occurred on January 6th? Really?

Red Dawn. Prophetic film, I’m afraid.

Before he took office I would mention to several people bits from Joe Biden’s biography that National Review posted. Namely details like he would buy a riding lawnmower, then wait for the grass to get 3 feet high before trying to cut out. When the machine inevitably broke down, he would go buy another one complaining that “they don’t make them like they used to.” Here let me just quote this bit:
https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/09/joe-bidens-money-misadventures/

Next year, Biden starting selling off bits of the land for development to pay for improvements such as storm windows. Small problem here: One of the lots he sold off was his own driveway, and the new owner blocked it off so he couldn’t pass through it. So Joe built a second driveway, which turned into a swamp in winter. He sold off another piece of property that, it turned out, included the front of that second driveway, so he couldn’t use that one anymore either. So I built a third. He hated that one for being a dumpy little thing. Eight years went by, and he made a deal to buy back the original driveway, the one he sold off when he first bought the house. Which cost him a fortune in landscaping to reshape.

Again, read the above. Read it carefully. The man has ALWAYS been like this – even in his prime. He’s an absolute dunce elevated far above his station. The man got his own driveway held hostage – is it any wonder he’s doing it to americans now?

He sold off property without the parcel being formally surveyed in order to generate a precise description of the parcel to be sold? Or he had a survey neither he nor Jill ever read? And he did this twice? This sounds like an urban legend.

The driveway business was recounted in 1992:

I hear you. That tells me it’s an urban legend that’s been around a while. The tale told in the excerpt (that neither Biden knew there was a gaping hole in the roof and ceiling on the 3d floor) is also incredible. I’m going to wager Richard Ben Cramer came across some gossip that was too amusing to check.

As for Biden the lawyer, I’m remembering what an attorney in Richmond who had served on some sort of screening committee for aspirant judges told me. He said they have three sorts of interested parties: prosecutors, lawyers in the employ of the state attorney-general, and lawyers in private practice who aren’t making much of a living from the law. So, in his experience, your judges tend to be people biased in favor of the government or people who are mediocre lawyers.

Then you stop and look at the lawyers who have been enmeshed in presidential politics. Biden (suburban associate for four years, finished near the bottom of his law school class), Klobberherworkers (prosecutor), Fauxcahontas (legal academic, affirmative action fraud, peddler of swiss cheese theses along with the pow-wow chow), Obama (associate for three years, p/t teacher for 12, no partnership and no scholarly publication), Clinton (fired for cause at the end of 1974 by a man who said she was one of three lawyers he’d employed over a period of 14 years for whom he’d never give a reference; limited to legal aid work for two years and change; hired and then granted a partnership by a mid-law firm after her husband was elected state attorney-general; irritated colleagues by being out of the office a great deal and for not bringing in business), John Edwards (wealthy like Erin Brockovich), John Kerry (canned from the state’s attorney’s office, sets up a two lawyer practice with his on-and-off mistress; neither in private practice after 1988), Bob Dole (time in law limited to six years as an elected corporation counsel in a county with 12,000 residents), Bill Clinton (never practiced, brief run as a law professor), Tom Harkin (practiced for about 18 months), Gary Hart (employed by the US DoJ for about seven years), Walter Mondale (private practice for four years, must check the setting), Ted Kennedy (prosecutor for < 1 year). In re Michael Dukakis and Paul Tsongas, have to check old directories; it appears they were in p/t solo practice for 7-10 years). Jerry Brown was for about six years an associate at a large firm in Los Angeles, but you might attribute that to family connections. Joseph Lieberman is the odd example of a man in that nexus who was a working lawyer for a two-digit span of years, gave up a partnership in a mid-law firm, and is not a known ambulance-chaser.

Art, why do you even bother wasting everyone’s time asking for evidence you’re going to handwave or dismiss out of hand? Just save us all time and admit you’ll believe what you want to believe.

I do t think it is an accident at all that the list of former US allies was turned over to the Taliban because a smug elitist like Antony Blinken, a long-time hate-American-imperialism-type is involved.

Ditto the weapons: we have to “make it a fair fight.” A basic Ilhan Omar idea.
