Thought For the Day

Well it is easy for Democrats to get confused.  Their party was based so long on white racism and now they are based on anti-white racism.  It is like getting the fashions of yesteryear confused with that of today.  After all, they are all in the same closet.

This isn’t so much a race issue as a class issue, Spouting Rock Beach Association owns the Beach, from the look of it you can’t join unless you “know” someone. Whitehouse is an elitist like the CEO of Delta Airlines, who calls the little people racist.

Your all so right. Race (and lust) identity politics is but the main chosen battleground of the Marxist left, which is coldly and cunningly, the most racist element of all. Caring for others, of any kind, is but a convenient propaganda weapon that builds for them a free military and breaks the weakened enemy they seek to conquer–Judeo-Christian Western civilization

Peasants end up with the most spectacular beaches, vistas and mountain retreats when the curtain finally closes.

Membership in the eternal club where your fee’s are waived and membership irrevocable is worth the effort of following after Jesus, born in poverty.

Poverty of spirit is detachment from things of this world. Best to keep the Gospels open;

Tuesday of the twentieth week in Ordinary Time.

Gospel Mt 7:6, 12-14
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.

“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.
This is the Law and the Prophets.

“Enter through the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction,
and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.
And those who find it are few.”

I wouldn’t bother about it bar that it’s the stated view of the administrative class that everyone’s discretionary decisions over with whom to associate are to be second-guessed by lawyers and that ‘anti-discrimination’ doesn’t actually mean that when the beneficiary of the favor is one of the regime’s mascot groups. The one area where anti-discrimination law should apply is public employment and benefits distriubition, where, of course, it typically does not apply.

How is it even legal to have an all-white club? I am a little surprised someone has not filed a lawsuit by now.

The only reason that America is grappling with its “racist legacy” is because of the democrats!

Art I agree- everyone’s decision who to associate with. Would you want to join an all white club if you were black? So why fuss about it.

It’s a reasonable wager the club is ‘all white’ because Rhode Island has a small black population (fewer than 30,000 people) and the members don’t have any blacks in their social circle more proximate than some chap they know at work. I’ll wager the membership of the club is small and coveted and they admit very few new members per year. It’s hypocritical inasmuch as these are the sort of people who fancy everyone else is obligated to make an artifact of organizational memberships, company workforces, student bodies, &c rather than let the chips fall where they may. They’re telling us AA is for us peasants.

None of these controversies have squat to do with the mundane interests of rank-and-file blacks. It’s about one group of whites looking for excuses to harass and abuse another group of whites. The black participants are haut bourgeois addled by narcissism and grifters who make their living stirring the pot.

That sums it up. Dig deep into the history of black rap music that talks about shooting cops, objectifying females, glorifying misery in the ghettos and there was always a white music producer who cared little other than making good money off these stupid entertainers and the even more stupid population who followed them. And believed them. Then when the black man became the producer he gave two squats beyond his pocket and created an internal war between people of his own skin colour all the while perpetuating a poisonous culture and mindset. And it spread all the way to the dumb young white, brown, yellow, whoever…This has nothing to do with improving lives and working towards a positive and hopeful future. The young, white brainwashed entitled millennials are the stupidest of the lot. And they will exploit the situation when they enter the workforce because they are entitled.

I tend to agree wit Art. If it is a privately owned beach club, they should be allowed to be all White, all Black or anything in between they so wish. It is the “freedom of association for me but not for thee” part of it that rankles me. In fact, wasn’t there a recent story about a group of Black families that purchased acreage somewhere to start a Black only neighborhood, and that was a good thing? Sauce for the goose, etc. A strong freedom of association right would go a long way to correcting many ills.
