Whatever Could Have Been His Motive?

From my post on June 14, 2017:

Partisan hatred was taken up a few notches this morning:

The gunman who opened fire on a Republican congressional baseball practice session on Wednesday morning, injuring four people including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, has been named as James T. Hodgkinson.

The shooter from Belleville, Illinois, fired up to 100 rounds from a high powered rifle from the third base dugout at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Virginia, as the group practiced batting at around 7:00 a.m.

He was eventually shot by two U.S. Capitol Police officers who were accompanying Scalise. They were both wounded as they exchanged gunfire.

Hodgkinson is now in custody and undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

A congressional staffer for Texas Rep. Roger Williams was also shot. Senator Rand Paul, who was at the scene but was not injured, described it as a ‘killing field.’

A man thought to be the shooter asked if the group were Republicans or Democrats before opening fire, Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis said. North Carolina Rep. Mike Walker told NBC News the ‘gunman was there to kill as many Republican members as possible.’

Go here to read the rest.  He is a fan of the Democrat Party and “Democratic Socialism”.  Go here to view his Facebook page before it is doubtless taken down.  God help our nation.

There were two Capitol Hill police officers there who fired back, a woman and a man. The man, Special Agent David Bailey, is wearing the same bracelet as the shooter of Ashli Babbitt. Other sites have confirmed that they are the same man.

I remember once arguing in Shea’s combox with people over the “very fine people” lie, pointing out that Trump condemned racism the day before, the day after, and in the very speech they were quoting. To them it was all very vague evidence and the explicit words were just not as clear evidence as his coded dog whistling, etc etc…

Meanwhile a guy can all but take out a billboard proclaiming “I want to kill republicans!” and his motivation remains “complicated” and “mysterious.”

At least in a war the enemy is honest about wanting you dead.

Again, how many times was this man promoted between the day he was hired in 1996 and the day he was fired for cause in 2018? And, while we’re at it, who didn’t get promoted every time he moved up one stratum in the FBI’s hierarchy? And who was responsible for promoting him each time? Same deal with respect to the quondam FBI agent on some chat show the other day yapping about arresting members of Congress a la Nikola Petkov.

The FBI doesn’t see because it agrees with the action. The only question is whether they merely helped cover things up after the fact or (as is a tradition of the FBI) they helped arrange for things to occur.

The FBI hasn’t been trustworthy since Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. left in 1974.
