Which is more blatant the universal deceit or the universal STUPID!?

Having played the academic game some years ago, I can testify that it is more prone to scheming and cheating than politics; if you want to follow academic fashion, get grants, get published, integrity and searching for truth is very low on the priority list
I think it could be interesting to learn about race and sex thinking in the Byzantine Empire, but if I were going to, I wouldn’t turn to a 21st century article with the word “intersectionality” in its title.
From what I can tell of my sons’ college courses, this sort of thing is more the rule than the exception nowadays.
