If you look at the posting it uses the word maternal several times and uses the term women of color. This inconsistency pretty much destroys the point of using the term “birthing people.”
Could it be we have such a high mortality rate among women of color because we have such a high abortion rate??
It doesn’t occur to the social work types that ‘disparities’ in the frequency of quite rare events are not an important problem. It also doesn’t occur to them that it might arise from personal choices made by those in their client populations.
