I want to support our police forces but this sort of thing makes it very difficult.

The Black Sniffles are being used to trample into the dust liberties that are older than Magna Carta. Only slaves, held down by force, should put up with thi,s and even a slave would dream of revolting against such a regime.
Update:
The proper way to deal with this type of situation:
This is how you handle police who enter a church without a warrant. They’re lucky they only got a tongue-lashing: s. 176 of the Criminal Code makes it a crime to disturb a church service. Those @CalgaryPolice thugs were breaking the law (and knew it). https://t.co/0XhAuwv0yg

The number of deaths daily in Britain has dropped through the floor. There is no justification for this at all.
This is where, we, the congregation, stand together and link arms and continue on with Good Friday celebration. God First under these circumstances. Near nil infections and they come into a Sacred space to threaten the faithful.
Hell No.
Please consider this threat as a possible threat to you and your Church. This threat is far worse than a bad flu bug. The threat of squashing our right to worship.
As pointed out in more than one place, COVID has been an opportunity for the modern human to embrace a crusade of laziness in the name of saving lives.
Ghosts of Queen Elizabeth I and King James I ! Or more like Oliver Cromwell if the Church of England is included with the Roman Catholics. A hint to any of you Pilgrim/Puritan/ Catholic types if you are seeking asylum for freedom of religion, you won’t be allowed in the USA because you are the wrong color or enthnitcity and from the wrong part of the world. PS Religious services are somewhat limited here too.
When you factor in the jackbooted restrictions and the idiocy of those who support them, the Commie Cooties is the worst pandemic in the history of Western Civilization, what’s left of it anyway.
England will start easing the restrictions to stage 2 on 12th April- conveniently the first day of Ramadan which is perfect timing for the 2.6million Muslims gathering and feasting together at night, every night for a month. The police can go door to door enforcing the numbers on this one. Good luck to them they’ll need it with the religion of Peace.
Second year in a row the English have been told to worship at home. And From what it appears this Polish Church were abiding by Covid regulations.

The government hates us and police are agents of the government.
Some cops are still motivated by the idea of serving justice and keeping peace in the community. But many are onboard with the state’s goals and many more aren’t, but are more than willing to enforce unjust orders if the alternative is getting fired.
Thanks Ezabelle, for the link you provided.
The bride, suffering along side the bridegroom, on Good Friday.
The name of the parish is fitting imo, Christ the King. Amen.
He is Our King.
In him we have everything except sin.
May Christ the King reign in the hearts of all mankind today and forever.
Happy Easter TAC.
Amen, Philip. And very true, RH. The willing participation of so many police officers in obvious mistreatment of Christian, especially Catholic, worshippers, often with the backing of our so-called shepherds (witness the horrific treatment of a pregnant mother just last week here in Dallas), bothers me more than most aspects of this Covid theater in which we are trapped. Would I be more willing to stand on principle at the risk of my job than these officers seem to be? I hope so, but thankfully that choice was never presented to me. I thus have at least a sliver of sympathy for the police. The bishops who countenance this abuse in the name of “safety”, however, not so much.
The comments on Twitter by self-righteous moral eunuchs are appalling.
Can you imagine the effect it would have if Catholic bishops took this kind of stand?
” But many(police) are onboard with the state’s goals and many more aren’t, but are more than willing to enforce unjust orders if the alternative is getting fired.”
How many of the soldiers and Temple guards felt the same way when they arrested Jesus or crucified whom they believed was the son of God? Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose…

And it should. Police officers know how to hit the doughnut shop when the spirit moves them. A passive-aggressive refusal to notice on the part of patrol officers would be welcome in core city and suburban zones. An explicit ‘ain’t happenin’ on the part of sheriffs in non-metropolitan counties would also be welcome.
Both of those have happened, Art.
There’s even places in California where the local health department is informing the crazy higher-up health department types that if they want a stupid rule, they go enforce it.
Even the police departments where they’ve been firing anyone who was in the least inconvenient or made them look bad are having trouble finding folks to enforce orders. Part of the reason for the impression difference is that this isn’t just a nation-wide sample, this is a world wide sample for bad behavior.
On the very first page of a search for “Police refuse to enforce COVID restrictions,” (six non-ad results per page) I found stories from this December on police in New York, New Jersey, California and Missouri who were publicly refusing to be enforcers, and an article from last April complaining about how the departments who recognize the Constitution’s authority were refusing to enforce the orders.
Just like the Head Priest that dragged Jesus in knew to make sure Joseph of Arimathea wasn’t there for the Sanhedrin’s vote, I’m sure he knew to pick his enforcers carefully.
Would expect no less of the modern-day powermad.
