So many trailers have all the imagination possessed by a sedated Swedish bureaucrat who ate too much meatballs in cream gravy. If you have a story to tell, do it with gusto and panache!
Now This is How a Trailer Should Be Done

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
One of the absolutely great movies. A time when actors were true artists who studied their craft.
Great movie. The book was better, although too much detail. The trailer hits all the main points. Outstanding score, as well.
Beautifully photographed landscapes – God’s Creation.
Both Lawrence and the producers might have omitted that part about the Turkish officer. I get it and I don’t get it.

Neither did Lawrence. He told several major variants of the story. I have my doubts if it happened at all, Lawrence being an accomplished fabulist, to put it politely. Lawrence was a brilliant guerilla warrior, a great writer and a great scholar, but there was much in him that was confused and twisted. It says much good about the man, however, that his last act was to lose his life avoiding hitting some kids on bikes. Lawrence never lacked courage and he loved the beau geste.
Truth.
His early-life family situation was sketchy. However, he was well-educated and ambitious. Before the war, he traveled around the Near East studying Crusader fortresses and imbuing himself in the Arab culture and language – Bedouin and Damasene. Was it somewhat like Richard Burton and 100 other Brit ‘orientalists?’
Apparently, after the war he ‘lost’ himself. When he died in the motorcycle accident, I believe, he was serving as an enlisted man in the RAF under an assumed name.
If memory serves, at the time, an failed attack on a hills RR bridge nearly simultaneoulsy had occurred, and most armies lay dormant that season. Death wish?
Hm. Always had interest in the film as piece of film history but not much burning desire to see it.
This trailer makes me want to see it now.
In other words: a perfect trailer.
Some of the best performances I have ever seen on screen Nate. Every actor in the film seemed to realize this film would make their careers and they all responded magnificently:
