Milo Coming Home

Folks may remember Milo Yiannopoulos, who was viciously attacked for being a homosexual man who was conservative, on the excuse that he admitted to having been the victim of older men in the homosexual community when he was under-aged.

He is now attempting to dedicate his life to St. Joseph, and leave the ‘gay’ lifestyle.

Because this is Milo, he asks folks for their prayers with a solid spin into the absurd:

I hope people will support and pray for me, if for no other reason than they share my delight at the prospect of Milo Yiannopoulos furiously and indignantly railing against homosexuals for sins of the flesh.

Wow. He did a talking tour of Australia in 2017 and managed to offend a few “groups”- he claimed Aboriginal Art was “crap”, and posted a derogatory comment under the picture of a far-left feminist media personality during one of his talks. There were violent protests outside his Melbourne and Sydney venues between left and right protesters. So he was banned from re-entering the country in 2019. Only listened to a few of his tv interviews…He is interesting to listen to because his public persona is built around contradictions. He makes good points on various issues and outrageous points on others. I hope his conversion to the Faith is genuine if nothing but for the sake of his own soul. He is going to cause a massive backlash if he starts building his agenda around supporting conversion therapy…that will be
interesting to see unfold.

Milo doesn’t believe in “conversion therapy” because he doesn’t believe anyone is born gay, which is probably the most “outrageous” thing he says to drive the current zeitgeist crazy. However he is right about that. The therapy he underwent is referred to as reparative. I’ve been following his writing for years. He has always admitted that his homosexual inclinations were prompted by the sexual abuse he was subjected to as a child.

“As you might expect, my professional priorities are shifting somewhat, given my new spiritual preoccupations. Over the next decade, I would like to help rehabilitate what the media calls “conversion therapy.””

This is good news. Let us all pray for Milo. He could be a great Saint–a saint especially for our time.

Far be it from me to give Milo advice on trolling (that would be like me giving John Williams advice on music) but I do hope he talks about “transitioning” to a straight person. 😀

Alleluia!

There is great rejoicing in Heaven over the recovery of one lost soul. See Matt. 17:10-14; Luke 15:3-7. And, see the workers in the vineyard, Matt 20:1-16.

Repentance. Confession. Penance. Prayer. Charitable/good works for the grater glory of God.

Ave Maria!

I am reminded of a passage from C.S. Lewis’ essay “Screwtape Proposes a Toast”:
“The great sinners seem easier to catch. But then they are incalculable. After you have played them for seventy years, the Enemy may snatch them from your claws in the seventy-first. They are capable, you see, of real repentance. They are conscious of real guilt. They are, if things take the wrong turn, as ready to defy the social pressures around them for the Enemy’s sake as they were to defy them for ours. It is in some ways more troublesome to track and swat an evasive wasp than to shoot, at close range, a wild elephant. But the elephant is more troublesome if you miss.”

Though thou hast recourse to many saints as thine intercessors, go specially to St. Joseph, for he has great power with God.-St. Teresa of Avila.

Takes the focus of the Andrew and Epstein problem…for a while.

– interesting hadn’t heard about the chickenhawk thing.

I can’t remember where I read it now but someone was proposing the other day that the right ought to play the left’s game of heighten contradictions. “Blue Anon” – “Super Straight” etc. For Milo, rehabilitating conversion therapy could start with “straight transition.”

quality quote from @Elaine too btw.

I remember that incident because it was one of the most blatant lies I ever saw Shea post on his blog. (He had a meme image up which had a very clear number on it, and then talked about it using numbers that didn’t match what he posted.) Somehow in the whole incident I never saw the chickenhawk thing mentioned or brought up.

Good luck to Milo. Him, Roosh, Kayne… I heard once we should be due for a great revival any decade now. Maybe the new crusade has begun.
