BURBANK, CA—In order to silence the dangerous idea that cancel culture is real, Disney cut ties with actress Gina Carano yesterday after she posted memes on social media that suggested cancel culture is bad and also that it exists.
“Cancel culture is just an alt-right conspiracy theory, so we must cancel this actress who suggested it is real,” said Kathleen Kennedy. “We are distancing ourselves from this dangerous idea by canceling the woman who perpetrated it.”
According to Lucasfilm, Carano was given the opportunity to grovel, promise to do better, renounce her beliefs, and agree to undergo 8 weeks in a Disney reeducation camp if she wished to keep her job. When she refused, she was let go.
“We gave her the chance to avoid cancelation by telling her to recant her belief that cancel culture is real,” said Kennedy. “We then tried to burn her at the stake, but our lawyers informed us that’s still illegal. For now.”

Disney Plus has gotta go from our household. It won’t matter to the mouse, but I don’t have to subsidize it.
While the hypocrisy is blatant, it is also clear that the left doesn’t care.
Here is the path to beating cancel culture:
-Conservatives need to outright ignore complaint mobs. Definitely never give into their demands. But on top of that, give them no half-measures. No “we’ve made some mistakes but…” or “while it would be wrong to fire this employee we will address your complaints in other ways…” If you say anything at all to them, tell them to take a hike.
-Do what you can to keep woke employees out of positions where they can fire people.
-Ridicule and boycott companies that give into the demands of complaint mobs.
How quickly the SJW’s forget last summer’s looting and rioting. The way the lockdown is being handled looks a lot like house arrest. The way deplatforming is being done is in the spirit of book burning. Only serfs are expected to take a knee. There is a kinetic component to the SJW’s behavior that goes way beyond words.
They haven’t forgotten about the looting or anything else. They are proud of it. You won’t shame them by making Nazi comparisons because they don’t judge people by their actions, but rather by their identities.
I canceled Disney Plus today. I think many people have. But I doubt will see it in “the news”.

Now that you mention it Nazism was all about racial identity politics. It was the CRT of its day.
The thing is, such comparisons are irrelevant and actively counterproductive.
The left’s aims and means are to be despised regardless of whether they resemble nazis or not. And as I’ve said the left doesn’t care at all about being called hypocrites. If they respond at all they’ll simply say that you’re the racist and they’ll do so with media cover. That’s why it’s irrelevant.
But it’s also counterproductive because it makes it seem like your complaint is that they are bad BECAUSE they resemble nazis, not because they are engaging in evil. That is, it makes nazism the standard for what is objectionable, not evil generally. And guess who has the cultural influence to successfully tar people as nazis (regardless of the reality)?
They are death cultists who hate Christ. There is no need to call them anything else.

You are missing the point. From what I’ve seen CRT uses racial identity politics in the exact same way as Nazism did. The Jews occupied the same place as white privilege does today. I was speaking directly to the philosophy of Nazism, with all its racial myths. I was speaking to their core values and beliefs which were evil. We study history to learn from it. In history the names may change, but human nature is a stubborn thing.
The video that Viva Frei did about this got some backlash in the YouTube comments. I thought that the video showed historic illiteracy uncharacteristic of Viva. Ben Shapiro is teaming up with Gina Carano
