Sad news that actor Christopher Plummer is dead at 91. Like all really great actors, he could submerge himself in his role and make it look easy. Versatile is a good one word summary of his career. He could play anything. At one time he said that Art was his religion. I trust that as he neared his end perhaps the thought occurred to him that all of creation was the work of the greatest Artist of all.

This was sad to read. SoM is one of my all-time favourite movies for so many reasons. I loved Plummer as JPaul Getty in All The Money In The World and in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I read Captain Von Trapp was the role he hated the most- calling his character a card-board cutout and humourless. But I think he changed his tone over the years and appreciated SoM and the joy it gave to so many people- transcending generations. RIP.
