Rigged

Hattip to Instapundit.

Our so-called elites have no clue to the level of anger beginning to bubble over.  The misgovernment we have seen over the past year is unprecedented in American history, with millions of businesses destroyed, our economy devastated, our cities wracked by riots, political factions whipping up race hatred for political advantage, Big Tech acting as censors and a possibly stolen Presidential election.  In such circumstances it doesn’t take much to bring matters to a head and the Gamestop debacle reveals for all to see how criminally rigged our system has become for insiders.  Then we hear claims that the Biden administration put in the fix with the aptly name Robin Hood to bail out the Hedge Funds yesterday.

Lincoln said it well long ago, and we need to remind ourselves of these words:

If this purported Robinhood employee is who he says he is, and has the documentation he says he has, it’s going to be fun to watch the folks running the biden administration spin this one.

I have no illusions that any substantive reform of Wall Street will come of this, or that any of the big players will get the penalties they deserve, but it will be lovely to see some of the people who were thrilled to see biden declared the President realize this administration is by, of, and for only a tiny percent of this nation— and certainly not for the overwhelming percentage of those people who (supposedly) voted for biden.

Why They Had To Steal The Election.

Seen on Instapundit. President Trump showed us that the annihilation of the American middle class was not the result of inevitable forces. The economy – who gets what from whom – is run by political choices. Who pays the costs and who reaps the benefits are political choices. Who is crushed by the legal system and who benefits from it, and who is insulated from it, are also political choices.

President Trump must be destroyed for showing normal people that their destruction, and the enrichment of other people, who despise them (everything that they love, believe in, and care about) is a policy decision.

President Trump showed other outcomes were possible. That is Donald John Trump’s greatest achievement.

My observation of the Biden voters in my family is that it will have no effect on their thinking at all. It’s all emotional processing, socially-sanctioned aggression, and self-aggrandizement. We’re in this pickle as a society because a large slice of our bourgeoisie are damaged in ways that have an expression in civic life. They’re able to bring along segments of the vernacular population who go along for disparate reasons. (Those segments would be blacks, California chicanos, Puerto Ricans, trashy single mothers, &c). The character of the Democratic Party has changed radically. The archetype of the Democratic voter in 1955 was a union member doing industrial wage work. The archetype now is a school administrator peddling some nonsense about ‘white privilege’. Remember it’s not about you, it’s about them.

Agreed. It’s interesting what people’s emotional investments are. Academe ain’t worth sh!t anymore.

I’ve been following the mess at the Dalton School in New York. Affluent and educated people hitting their paying clientele (even more affluent and at least as educated) with socially-sanctioned aggression. Something is deeply wrong with our bourgeoisie, especially in the media, in the educational apparat, at the bar. None of this makes much sense at all.

While we’re at it, Kevin Clinesmith, for falsifying evidence, gets a $100 fine and 12 months probation. No disbarment.

Heckuva job, Mr. Durham.

If that’s the deal with misconduct by the DoJ, the next Republican president should just pardon all the Watergate defendants.

A government and society that allow such things as selling more shares of a stock than are issued will have no problem with peddling any other fiction to gain the power over the populace that they seek. Lincoln’s comments were never so applicable as they are today as various groups seek power by any means necessary. We should note that most of those who threw their lot with Stalin over Trotsky after the death of Lenin were themselves victims of Stalin in the Great Purge a few years later. Stalin reasoned that those who would oppose the authority of previous leaders would eventually oppose him also. The cost of that decision is estimated in the tens of thousands executed.

The answer lies in school choice.

We taxpayers should be funding children not schools.
