Or perhaps it’s an oligarchy. It certainly isn’t government of the people, by the people and for the people.

When I open your blog on certain browsers like edge, there are ads posted of an “racy” nature. Haven’t been able to determine what browser or machine (I open in both a Window’s Laptop and Apple iPhone, iMac and iPhone). Just thought you should know.
This has happened in the past few weeks. We are investigating. They should not be there.
“Mr. Biden: Tear down that wall!”
They are going to amplify this message harder and harder: The government is for us, you can die in a gutter.
I don’t think that message is going to work with most Americans, especially as time goes on.
It’s not meant to work. They are at the point where they not only don’t care about what the American people think, they don’t care if we know they don’t care.
Their miscalculation comes from thinking that they have completely isolated themselves from our anger.
I don’t just mean possible violence. This Gamestop situation is a perfect example of what people will do to strike back. I foresee the following cycle being common over the next few years:
-People stumble upon a place where the elite are weak, in terms of finances, infrastructure, communication, whatever. They hit them there.
-The elites try to reason with the public under the assumption that they can be bought off. But the people involved care more about seeing the elites pay than they do about money or comfort.
-The elites panic and crack down on the whole thing as hard as they can, angering many bystanders in the process.
-Go back to step 1 (at least until the oligarchy is broken or we hit open civil war).
I thought walls didn’t work. David Brooks says so.
I think I’d invest this with less significance than you do. It’s just another indicator of what a bunch of self-centered Bourbons they are. (See Liz Cheney). Merchants in Minneapolis, Portland, and a dozen other places endured far worse because their crap mayors and crap DAs don’t want to enforce the law against Democratic Party clients, and now we have a pointless deployment of state militias and permanent infrastructure over some broken windows, noise, and the theft of Pelosi’s bloody laptop. The worst thing that happened was that a member of the Capitol Police fatally shot a 35 year old merchant / veteran for no apparent reason. (Partisan Democrats make excuses for that in fora like this). To date, prosecutors and police in DC are still chewing over that. (They were sure enough of themselves to arrest Brandon Straka for being on the steps).
I usually browse TAC on an old Kindle. I recommend routinely deleting your browsing history on all your devices. Use Duck Duck Go if possible.

I have never seen a racy ad here, but on rare occasion see Tail Active Wear and Title Nine Sports. Usually I see ads for Catholic stuff-Curo health care sharing especially.
This merits its own Forrest Gump meme: “And just like that the democrats say we need walls.”
They should paint the place red and rename it “Forbidden City”.
I’ve noticed in some quarters that the radio news on Jan 6th Capitol trespassers are no longer referred to as “Trump supporters”. It’s “hard right ” or the names of these lesser known groups that the FBI knew were up to no good. Also it’s obvious how incompetent some of the DC and Capitol police were. Little or no training and no riot gear. Whose fault is that? Not Trump. The DC mayor and Congressional leaders is my guess. The number of injured police is in the 150s. More finger pointing and more investigations.
What a picture for DC tourism this coming spring and summer which is big bucks for the city. I’m old enough to remember Resurrection City and the Occupy Movement. What a disaster when Dems are in charge of everything.
Put it this way, If that fence helps to keep the crooks from coming out into the general public, it will be a fence worth having.
Unfortunately, Ezabelle, the crooks er Congress have underground tunnels ‘neath the Capitol to escape like the sewer rats they are..
