Why not the Insurrection Act as a last resort, assuming Trump could get the military to go along with it?
Because there is no insurrection to combat. Plus once we have generals resolving political disputes there would never be an end to it. That would be putting the Swamp and the Deep State in control forever. We saw this play in the fall of the Roman Republic. We need no remake of that sad tale.
I agree with you Donald. The Trump public opinion strategy is probably the only way left for this election and the next, if he chooses to continue. Hope he does choose to continue if he loses. And Biden should hope so too, as a Trump 2024 candidacy might forestall a revolution.
Be ungovernable.
Assassinating Caesar wasn’t the cause of the death of the Roman Republic. For decades, it was dying of corruption and incompetence.
The 2020 flu d’état [Howie Carr]/stolen election was only the latest stage in the decades-long decline and fall of the American Republic.
We already have asinine academia, the CCP, democrat crooks [oxymoron], fraudulent ballots, the lying media, rigged software, social media/tech plutocrats, deciding cultural and political norms/issues.
There never will be an end to it.
What now have we to lose?
Assassinating Caesar wasn’t the cause of the death of the Roman Republic.
It was dying because elections became civil wars fought out with legions. Marius and Sulla started the process while Caesar was a teenager. Political violence started as a result of Senatorial reaction to the legislation proposed by the Gracchi brothers a generation before Marius and Sulla. The Black Lives Matter and Antifa political riots are an ominous turn in our politics.
Among those calling for martial law was Michael Flynn. It seems as though Pence did Trump a big favor in pushing Flynn out as National Security Advisor, assuming Barnes is correct that Pence was in fact behind Flynn’s ouster.
