Roman Martyrology
Tradition says she was a very young woman when she was martyred in 250. Imagine the courage it took to overcome her natural fear. She could have gone free with a renunciation of Christ, and perhaps witnessed others doing so, and she persisted in her Faith unto death. No matter how much honor is paid to martyrs, it can never be enough.
