Something for the weekend, Gunsmoke intros. One of my favorite shows as a boy, the High Noon duels seem to reflect the angry mood of the nation right now. Let us hope the better angels of our natures assert themselves before the next four years compete with 1861-1865 in turbulence.

Gotta agree with that: “Let us hope the better angels of our natures assert themselves before the next four years compete with 1861-1865 in turbulence.”
I guess Grit TV is a go to channel in your household too.
I found The Larimie on it which pretty good and had some nice intros. However my favorite western intro is from The Rifleman with Chuck Connors firing that rifle, twirling it around and his face has the expression of “yeah, I’m a bad ass.”

That is mighty impressive. A couple of thoughts;
1 – I think that tally exaggerates since over the years he clearly had to kill some people 3, 4 or more times.
2 – They were all justified killings / self-defense.
3 – His death rate for the whole town of North Fork in the New Mexico Territory still wasn’t as bad as Cabot Cove in Maine, the home of amateur sleuth Jessica Fletcher with 274 murders.
4 – Somebody had to keep the mortuary and cemetery business busy.
The intro I was referring to is here;

Robert Heinlein pointed out that more human group-level disputes are settled by sheer brute violence than by any other means. Not saying that;s a good thing – just that it’s a thing. I figure I had the good fortune to live most of my life in one of those rare periods when the average guy didn’t have to go around armed. Nowadays, I pack daily.
This is a battle between good and evil. Regardless of the final declared outcome, approximately 70 million Americans voted for an advocate of child murder, sodomy, and transgenderism. These are more than political differences. As stated it is literally Good vs Evil. There are unfortunately no better angels on the side of the supporters of these evils. Politics follows culture which has sunk to unimaginable depths. Most depressingly, almost the entire heirachy of the Church is complicit.
