I did like a lot of the Good Place (though I need to finish it). I definitely approved of it attempting something new and being quite clever and witty at times.
I liked even more that at times it acknowledged that a lot of people will put on charitable airs for selfish reasons, but it still bugged me that a show which was going for complex and interesting ideas, still boiled down to the basic “liberals and their ideas are basically good.” As well as subtly endorse cancel culture when one character gets “bad points” after going to eat at Chik-Fil-A even after being informed of what the CEO said/did.
“Just pick a hat” though will always make me laugh.
