Thought for the Day
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 41 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
I’m sure it will be mostly peaceful
These are no better than a lynch mob. If you disagree with the outcome of a legal proceeding, responding with mob violence is not acceptable. They are the Klu Klux Klan of 2020 except, due to numbers and support, more dangerous. They must be arrested and prosecuted; however, due to their venue, a conviction would be difficult and doubtful. Off topic: As I write this I am revolted again my puff pieces by supposed conservative media on Mrs Ginsburg’s legacy. Her legacy: an accomplice to 60,000,00 dead babies. ( Along the USCCB, by their failure to speak on the most pro murder Pesidential candidate in history who touts his “devout Catholic Faith).
Note that one question that mainstream media (including Fox News) absolutely does not allow to be asked is: who is funding these protests?
Either agree what we say is justice or…be punished
That’s the general attitude.
Gotta love the forward-thinking spontaneity of the left.
I’m reminded of the pitiful MSM coverage of Seattle’s CHAZ, when that rapper/DJ who ran the place handed out firearms from the trunk of his car. The man made extra cash renting out his apartment on Air B&B and no reporter thought to ask where he got the funds to pass out AK-47s?
Sending funds, communications and/or equipment for a riot is a violation of federal law. Seems like a U-Haul should be easily traced back to the party who rented it…
Sending funds, etc. across state lines to facilitate a riot is a violation of federal law.
We’ve been let out of the office and forced to work telecom for the last two days.
Tonight an emergency alert went out to all the phones that Louisville Metro is under a curfew from 9pm – 6:30am.
I recognize and know a lot of those places seen in pictures and videos.
It’s all so tiresome.
They started the curfew at least an hour too late.
Note too that all throughout the week various news outlets have been “speculating” about the possibility of “protests” in response to the Breonna Taylor decision. Even before the jury made the decision. I never heard any of them condemn the possibility either.
They can’t say that they didn’t think that their suggestions would lead to actual riots when this is something like the thirtieth time we’ve had “fiery but mostly peaceful protests.”
Most news outlets are nothing more than the propaganda arm and coordinating communication center for those behind the riots. I am not exaggeration when I say that many in newsrooms deserve to be jailed for their actions.
In the summer, curfews need to begin at 6pm at latest. During the winter months when it gets dark earlier than 6 pm, the curfew should begin 1 hour before dark. Anyone out after then should be arrested. The rioters should not be given a couple of hours of darkness in which to hide.
If the curfew goes into effect at XX00 hrs, at XX01, you inform the crowd they’re in violation of the curfew now in effect and order them to disperse. If they start complying you do nothing. If people haven’t started moving by XX05, you start with the tear gas.
It was noted tonight on FOX NEWS that the police have the name of the UHaul renter. Tucker Carlson has run several pieces on Soros, Harris, Biden staffers, billionaires and Hollywood types who have contributed funds to not so peaceful organizations that are encouraging these “peaceful protests and rioters”. Tonight he had on camera a tweet or text from Cosmopolitan, a Hearst magazine, encouraging violence in regards to Louisville KY. I can’t find it online.
When will the public demand firmer action deciding enough is enough?
