Flying the Black Flag

III. LASTLY, the crime of piracy, or robbery and depredation upon the high feas, is an offence againft the univerfal law of fociety ; a pirate being, according to fir Edward Coke k, boftis humani generis. As therefore he has renounced all the benefits of fociety and government, and has reduced himfelf afrefh to the favage ftate of nature, by declaring war againft all mankind, all mankind muft declare war againft him : fo that every community hath a right, by the rule of felf-defence, to inflict that punifhment upon him, which every individual would in a ftate of nature have been otherwife entitled to do, any invafion of his perfon or perfonal property.

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Leftists announced a bold new tactic to eradicate fascism from the land today: marching in lockstep through the streets and accosting anyone who doesn’t chant their slogans and perform their special salute.

“We did it! We defeated fascism!” cried one elated protester after the mob accosted a woman in the street and screamed in her face for not performing their salute, in which their arms were raised at a 45-degree angle. “Great job, everyone! Free milkshakes for everyone!” They then threw milkshakes at random passersby.

As for citizens who don’t perform the special salute, mobs are organizing camps for them to be reeducated in. Should people not own a car to drive to the camps, they will be sent via public transportation, possibly a train.

Go here to read the rest.  The Red Fascists are cruising for mass casualties to be inflicted upon them.  Blind fools.

Thursday night felt like being in a terrifying dystopian novel. The mob swarmed me and my husband, Sen. Rand Paul, in a tight circle, screaming expletives, threats, and shouting, “Say her name.” We rushed up to two police officers, and I believe that is the only thing that kept us from being knocked to the ground. Even pressed against the officers, we were greatly outnumbered.

As the mob grew and became more threatening, we literally could not move, and neither could the two officers for several minutes. The rioters were inches from us, screaming in our faces.

That was the worst part. At first, I attempted to meet the eyes of one of the protesters and tried to explain that Rand authored the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act, but it seemed to just infuriate them more, as they called me a “bitch” and “racist wh—” alongside an endless torrent of “f— yous.”

Mobs are terrifying. They looked at us with no humanity — just a vicious and righteous zeal. After that, I just kept my eyes down and prayed. All I could think of was the driver who was pulled from his car, viciously kicked in the head and left lying in his own blood in Portland, Oregon, last week.

Go here to read the rest.  Leftists doing this are flying the black flag.  They should receive the summary justice traditionally accorded to pirates and other enemies of humanity.  Anyone subjected to such mob action is justified in taking whatever action is necessary to protect themselves and any other innocents under imminent threat of harm.

Agree 100% ” Anyone subjected to such mob action is justified in taking whatever action is necessary to protect themselves and any other innocents under imminent threat of harm.”

Agreed.

The bourgeois, middle-aged Democrats of my acquaintance are pretending this isn’t happening (or pretending it’s of no significance).

This just in, the condominium complex where the Mayor of Portland, Ore. lives was invaded by antifa, who set about vandalizing the place. The building staff called the cops and no one showed up. My sympathies are with the building staff. I suppose the residents, too, though I suspect most of them have been making excuses for the rabble for weeks when they deign to notice them.

…. unless you live in a mob / Democrat “controlled” city then they prosecute you to the fullest until you are incarcerated for life, broke or both.

Things I know from personal expirience:
.
1) Idle hands are the Devil’s playground.
.
2) Loneliness leads to very poor choices in social hangouts
.
3) Demolition work (short term) is fun; bonfires are even more fun. Neither take much brains (unless you are a demo guy who uses dynomite to bring down a building in NYC without damaging the surrounding buildings. That is an art form.)
.
4) Building is hard work; making something pretty takes practice and talent.
.
None of this would have happened to the extent it has except for welfare and lockdowns.

Welfare, lockdown, and a too many resentful college indoctrinated with a credential and a whole lot of debt, and not enough prospects for paying that debt down. Because really, what’s a grievance-studies degree worth?

Don, my point is flagrant misuse of the power of the state to prosecute people who are defending themselves from attack and police officers who are doing their duty will bankrupt the average person by the necessary legal costs. See the General Flynn case and why he was accepting a guilty plea.

“Brigands” were not subject to the honors of war under Roman law, but only summary execution as enemies of the common good. In one my dubious novels a character uses this precedent to justify extrajudicial killings of a couple of demons and their human accomplices. The law of self-defense is different, of course, in that one cannot identify “brigands” and hunt them down for the common good. There are some variations from state to state (e.g. duty to retreat or not) but in Illinois one may use deadly force to defend oneself or another from imminent death or grievous bodily harm. From a defense point of view these days I would consider the local prosecutor and jury pool as much as the law. I lack faith that the legal system will escape the general destruction of the culture in many population centers.

I was shamefully negligent in pro bono cases, but the majority of my practice was federal panel meth cases, murder and death penalty (up to 2011) so I got paid by somebody. Given that criminal defense is not the most lucrative field, all my cases were about 75% pro bono 🙂

All evidence suggests that Ron Paul at some point signed a remarkably poorly worded contract with the Devil, resulting in him becoming the world’s most powerful libertarian politician in exchange for stupid attacks on his son.
