Calgon Take Me Away!

My sainted mother always liked the above commercial.  When my kids were little I remembered.  Sometimes I would come home from the law mines and it would be obvious that the day at McClarey Manor had been a tad bit rougher than others.  I would tell my Bride that I could handle the kids for a while, and that she could relax.  She would reciprocate on the occasions when I would come home pale with fatigue from the law mines and she would make sure that both she and the kids gave me time to relax and catch my breath.  A little bit of looking out for your spouse goes a long way in a marriage.  Commercials can get dated as the years pass;  thoughtfulness and simple kindness never do.

Your bride is a fortunate lady. You are so right that thoughtfulness and simple acts of kindness are never outdated, esp in marriage.
