Just to keep track of the nonsense that has wrecked our economy and generally made our politicians run around as if their fool heads were on fire, each day I publish the corona virus total death toll in the US based upon the latest data I can find. A single death is an immense tragedy if you love the person. However, we are not talking about love, but rather public policy, which should always involve a sober analysis of risk and cost. Please recall that in a bad normal flu year our death toll in the US can be as high as 90,000.
Note: this will be a total death toll since the beginning of this bad farce, and not a daily toll. As of the beginning of July 25, 2020 the claimed, as suspect as that claim is, death toll is 148,490.
This post will be on vacation hiatus until August 2, 2020. Expect lots of hysteria from the media when the 150.000 mark is reached. Lots of political games have been played with the death statistic throughout this ordeal, and currently many states are ghoulishly attempting to revisit old deaths to increase daily totals. Even when that isn’t the case, the daily death tolls usually reflect earlier deaths. Go here to read examples of how this works.
Supposedly, the autopsy found George Floyd had SARSCov2 in his system. So is he a murder victim or Covid19 death?

Floyd had recovered from his COVID infection.

China virus or no. Floyd would be here today if he didn’t attempt to rip off a convenience store and then violently resist arrest (another felony) while jacked-up on fentanyl and methamphetamine. Same thing with Black Lies Matter’s universal battle cry of freedom, “Hands up. Don’t shoot.” Totally false.
Welcome to the post-truth world.
Entering the sixth month of the massive CCP China Virus Disinformation Campaign
All we hear are how Florida and Texas are on track to have the same number of confirmed cases as the state of New York — which has more cases (and fewer citizens than CA, FL, TX) than anywhere in the country. Yet, Texas (16 deaths per 100,000) and Florida (26 deaths per 100,000) still have about 1/10th to 1/6th of the death rate of New York (168 deaths per 100,000), while NJ takes the dubious prize with 177 deaths per 100,000. Mortality rates are as of 24 July 2020.
The China murder virus didn’t kill him. Reportedly, George Floyd, truly not a great man, had in his blood levels of fentanyl and methamphetamine. He died of a heart attack not asphyxiation. Not that that will mean anything in the impending show trial.
Dem politicians are pushing hard for new federal/blue state legislation named “The Criminal and Terrorist Safety and Health Act.”
