An alleged ringleader of the mob trying to haul down the statue of Andrew Jackson across from the White House has been arrested.
Federal law enforcement officials on Thursday arrested a man in Washington they call a “ringleader” in the recent attempt to destroy the Andrew Jackson statue in Lafayette Square near the White House.
Law enforcement sources tell Fox News that Jason Charter was arrested at his residence Thursday morning, without incident, and charged with destruction of federal property. He was arrested by the FBI and U.S. Park Police as part of a joint task force.
These sources add that Charter has connections to Antifa and was in a leadership role on the night of June 22 when a large group of protesters tried to pull down the statue.

39 lashes? Just…no. Being the bearer of a Scots/French flashing bad temper ( alas) understand the sentiment, but, even if you were administering them yourself, it’s not good to do. I sometimes think one of the more horrific aspects of Christ’s scourbging was that, for the guys wielding the whips, it was just another day on the job. Probably chatted about last night at the tavern as they worked. Just another day.
I’m no fan of lashing, but I would note that George Washington successfully lobbied to have the number of lashes for Continental Army miscreants raised from the Biblical 39 to 100. Apparently the men treated 39 lashes as a joke.
