An Aventura man has been arrested in Plantation as part of the federal investigation into suspicious packages that were sent to prominent critics of President Donald Trump, according to reports.
While federal law-enforcement officials have not named the suspect, a report by NBC News, which since was confirmed by CNN and other outlets, identified him as 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc Jr. of Aventura.
Records show Sayoc has a history of arrests in Florida on a variety of offenses, most of them involving theft. Broward County court records indicate Sayoc was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Court records in Miami-Dade County show Sayoc was arrested there in 2002 on a charge of threatening to throw, place or discharge a destructive device. He was sentenced to one year of probation in that case, which he completed in June 2003.

I cannot imagine a grosser contempt of court, or one more calculated to prejudice a fair trial, than to publish the previous convictions of someone who has just appeared on petition.
Publishing details of potential productions (the van, stickers) is not much better.
If the media must print something, what has happened to, “A man is helping police with their enquiries.”?
We don’t do that type of nonsense here MPS where we have freedom of speech and of the press, and really mean it. In Court any Jury likely hearing the case would never receive evidence as to his prior convictions.
