End of the Recount Farce

I haven’t wasted the time of TAC readers in covering the moneymaking scheme of Jill Stein, former green party candidate, in calling for recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, due to the fact that the recounts had no hope of success, if by success altering the outcome of the election was the goal.  Clinton was beaten so thoroughly in the electoral college that in order to change the outcome recounts would have to award her all three states.  The smallest vote gap was in Michigan of approximately 10,000 votes, and any recount, based upon history, would barely make a dent in such a total.

Only one state did a recount, Wisconsin, and the Badger State as a result of the recount increased Trump’s vote margin of victory by 162 votes.  In Michigan the state appellate court shut down the farce.  In Pennsylvania Federal District Judge Paul Diamond, in a truly blistering decision, refused to order a recount:

Unsuccessful Green Party Candidate Jill Stein and Pennsylvania voter Randall Reitz allege that because Pennsylvania’s voting machines might have been “hacked” during last month’s election, I must order the Commonwealth to conduct a recount of the votes cast for President. There are at least six separate grounds requiring me to deny Plaintiffs’ Motion. Most importantly, there is no credible evidence that any “hack” occurred, and compelling evidence that Pennsylvania’s voting system was not in any way compromised. Moreover, Plaintiffs’ lack of standing, the likely absence of federal jurisdiction, and Plaintiffs’ unexplained, highly prejudicial delay in seeking a recount are all fatal to their claims for immediate relief. Further, Plaintiffs have not met any of the requirements for the issuance of a mandatory emergency injunction. Finally, granting the relief Plaintiffs seek would make it impossible for the Commonwealth to certify its Presidential Electors by December 13 (as required by federal law), thus inexcusably disenfranchising some six million Pennsylvania voters. For all these reasons, I am compelled to refuse Plaintiffs’ request for injunctive relief.

Go here to read the decision.  This is all part of the Left’s collective retreat into la la land as a result of Trump’s victory.  Yesterday John Podesta, Hillary’s former campaign manager, who will go down in history as having run the most inept presidential campaign of a major party nominee, called for electors to receive an intelligence briefing before they vote on December 19, part of the ongoing Democrat attempt to attack the legitimacy of Trump’s victory by claiming that the Russians were behind his win.

Recall when the Democrats and the media went into hysterics because Trump refused to say that he would automatically accept the results if he lost?

Liberals, as the saying goes, if they did not have double standards they would have no standards at all.

Regarding the Dem’s curious double standards, recall that back in ’83, when
Ted Kennedy was gearing up to run against Reagan, he actually appealed to
the Soviets to help him win the ’84 election, promising to aid the Soviets in their
dealings with the president in the meantime.
.
It wasn’t until 1991, after the fall of the USSR, that damning Soviet records of the
communications were unearthed. The Democrats largely ignored the discovery
of the documents, and Kennedy continued his Senate career without any
consequences.
.
The Democrats were indifferent when it was one of their own who actually did
attempt to get the Soviets to interfere in an American presidential election. Yet
they clutch their pearls in horror and indignation at the slightest rumor that Russians
might have helped their candidate lose this year. Just when I thought I couldn’t have
more contempt for that party, they hit a new low…

“The Russians did it” is all the talk of the news media. Obama wants a special study done and completed on Russian hacking before he leaves office. Even the CIA is reported to have said it’s Russian hacking. But Hillary’s uranium deal with the Russians is ignored. And Obama saying to the Russians before the last election that he’ll have more flexibility is ignored. Addtionally, Hillary’s private email servers (where she illegally stored national security information) having been hacked by foreign governments is ignored. This is amazing. These accursed Democrats make one excuse after another and then ignore the very real treason occurring in front of their faces!
.
BTW, I am convinced that if Russia were still communist and not returning to her Orthodox Christian roots, the Democrats would never blame Russia. Just look at how they defend and extol the one China policy (where China is communist) against Trump having received a phone call from the President of a free Taiwan!
.
Democrats invested a lot of power into the Presidency when Obama occupied the White House. They had better beware for Trump will now use that power. He isn’t going to take crap from the liberal progressive news media as other past Republican Presidents did. I think ultimately that is dangerous, but it is the situation which the Democrats created.

Double standards. The IRS 2012 tea party crimes are far more serious.
.
Obama/Hillary spent nearly eight years politicizing/weaponizing the CIA, DoJ, FBI, IRS, etc. Now, President Trump may wield those weapons.
.
LQC, Agree with all you posted. Plus, the libs were 100% ok with the USSR expending $1 billion (in 1960’s/70’s) dollars to bankroll stooges’/useful idiots’ opposition to the US military in the Vietnam War and way ok with Teddy Chappaquiddick asking the Kremlin to assist him in becoming president.
.
Here was an important (sarcasm) interference by foreign hackers: Russian hackers (mind control!) forced Hillary to call half of America “irredeemable” and “deplorable.”
.
Likely, the hacks were inconsequential to the outcome. In truth, the so-called foreign hackers and Wikilieaks did the work that the lying, liberal (redundant) media refused to do.

I quote this frequently, but The left is a machine for seizing and retaining power. Once you discard the notion that they’re operating on the basis of any fixed principles whatsoever, their actions make a lot more sense.

This is off-topic. I navigated here from another of your pieces which quoted extensively from Christopher Johnson’s “Midwest Conservative Journal”. I have long been a reader of MCJ. However, lately, ESET has been blocking me from the site on my laptop, They cleared this up once, but it’s back again. I can’t get to the site, and I can’t get to Mr. Johnson’s email which is linked to the site. I’m trying to find out what is going on and if it is going to be fixed. (I was not the only one having the prob last I was on. I was able to access the site from my tablet, which is not, admittedly, as secure as my laptop. Last night, alas, I instead had a phony “virus alert” hijack my link to MCJ and take over Chrome. Took me an hour to get rid of it, and I am loathe to attempt accessing MCJ again.) In any case, is there any way you could get this message, and my email addy to Mr. Johnson? I truly miss MCJ!

This is beautiful.
So the unsecured emails, some of which the FBI classified as highly confidential, were haphazardly shared from the incompetent former Secretary of State and NOW it’s the Russian interference in our elections.

You can’t make this stuff up.

She dog was her own worse enemy and if it did happen that Russia was involved in said matter I wouldn’t doubt for a moment that they were assisted due to Hillary’s sloppiness.

Good grief.

Now comes the Detroit News, in an article dated 12/13/16, entitled “Too Many Votes in 37% of Detroit’s Precincts.” This is a must-read-and-archive article, in order to understand the sinister quality of John Podesta’s late-Election Night statement “Go to bed..Let’s get those votes counted and bring this home.” (While we sleep in bed, they ‘create’ ballots?)
It also is a key task for the future, to true the vote in all states and major cities.

Detroit and Wayne County did their best to erase Trump’s lead of 309,000 votes at 11pm CST—a stupendous lead (according to the NY Times own Election Predictor website, there should have been a 95% certainty of Michigan falling to Trump, and only perhaps 700,000 to 800,000 votes left to count: Hillary would have to garner about 90% of the remaining vote, or more, to win the state. Statistically impossible?). And yet, Detroit and Wayne County, where everyone now knows corruptions is rampant, did its best to help Podesta “bring this home”:
….
http://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2016/12/12/records-many-votes-detroits-precincts/95363314/

The article has so many salient facts. One is really ironic: Jill Stein’s recount couldn’t succeed in Michigan, because 10% of the counties couldn’t be counted —because state law prohibits a recount where there is an “unbalanced precinct” (more or less ballots than voters who voted according to the voting registers) or because the seals on the official ballot boxes had been broken—indicating tampering: ballots being “added in” (as I mentioned in a post Nov. 9th about ballots being Xeroxed and added to the count) or “taken out”. Once a ballot has been “cast”, there is no identifying who cast it. So, if you are a good Donkey-Party Guy or Gal, just copy extra ballots and throw them in. Oh, you will have to break the seal.

60% of Detroit’s precincts couldn’t be recounted because of these “discrepancies” (thank God for a good state law that foresaw a Podesta in the future). And two-thirds of that number, or about 37%, “had too many votes”. (See, I told you so: as a recovering ex-Democrat, I know these people. When I lived in St. Louis, if you were to check things there, well…)

One Wayne County ballot box only contained 50 of the 306 ballots supposedly cast, according to the precinct register. (The way it works in MI, as it does in California and Arizona and last I know in St Louis, which is an independent free state of Missouri), a scanner records the ballot, then the ballot is slipped through a slot in a locked box. The box is not opened until after the precincts close and the number of ballots counted and matched against the register. Guess what: a whole lot of extra ballots, and in Detroit/Wayne county, guess what again? Hillary supposedly got 95% of the vote. A virtual statistical impossibility.

Later in the article, the news writer tries to dismiss the discrepancy issue, saying that there was a discrepancy of only 388 ballots/votes. How do you know? If ballots are missing, were they ever really cast by a “real” citizen? 248 precincts has more votes than those cast. Some were only off by 1 ballot—but 52 were “5 and over”—How many over, is the question?

144 more precincts were too few votes with no explanation. So how do we know these were even true votes cast?

Besides requiring all states to verifier their voter rolls against the Department of State’s list of actual US citizens and legal residents (that is how you get a passport, right?), Trump’s admin needs to work within state frameworks to get each state to have an audit process for all votes cast.
..
One thing that could be done is to stamp every ballot (face down of course) with a Bates-number (an increasing ordinal # device), prior to being put in the ballot box: that would numerically sequence and verify the ballots actually cast and in what order. At the end of the day, if it is discovered there is a break in the Bates# sequence, you know ballots have been added (no Bates#) or taken out (Bates# of 8XXXX1 to 8X201 missing). It is a standard practice in the banking and accounting industry to detect fraud.

I asked this elsewhere, but I can’t figure out why Russia would want an unknown like Trump as president to the point of attempting to hack an election when there was Hillary with a foreign-policy track-record that is at best mediocre and at worst feckless? What does the Left think the motive is that isn’t a fairytale?

Dunno, Mr. Phoenix. It looks like technical problems given the scale of it.

One problem we have which was alluded to is a disorganized electoral calendar and an accumulation of offices which have been elective since the Jacksonian era. Some of the errors were attributable to technical difficulties counting multipage ballots.

I shall repeat, that none of what has been revealed by whomever released it has been factually refuted by the Democrats. As to why the Russians would prefer Trump, or why the we should prefer the Russians over China may have more to do with mutual national interests than mere politics.

“Dunno, Mr. Phoenix. It looks like technical problems given the scale of it.”

I seriously doubt it. We have witnessed similar events showing clear, predictable patterns in our state’s Democratically controlled voter precincts. These events have been across multiple areas & multiple election seasons–many of which I or people I know witnessed first hand. In one instance, a poll watcher saw a Democratic election official stuffing a ballot box by voting for individuals who had not come to vote in the last hour before the poll was to close. In another instance, entire stuffed ballot boxes in the loft of a barn were found in a rural precinct. I have found early voting fraud first hand. I have also found fraudulent early voting taking place in a local nursing home, first hand. And then there have been those precincts where more people voted than were registered to vote, etc. This isn’t even half of the types of fraud we have witnessed over the years. There are almost endless possibilities for voter fraud.

Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft critiques Michigan City Clerk’s claim that the voting machines “double-counted” the votes. He claims:

“Once they started the Michigan recount in earnest, and knowing he would be exposed, the Detroit City Clerk Daniel Baxter all of a sudden started claiming that the optical scanners which read the paper ballots did not work the day of the election. Baxter blamed the discrepancies on decade-old voting machines. That is his cover story. Nothing like this was mentioned until he realized their voting fraud scheme would be detected.”

“Baxter’s claim is that, when trying to push the ballots through the readers, the ballots would be stuck and they’d have to push them through again thus ‘ACCIDENTALLY’ resulting in a double count. He says the poll workers sometimes ‘FORGET’ to adjust the machine count and instead let the ballot count twice.”

This story just isn’t credible — blaming the machine, blaming the workers.

http://www.wnd.com/2016/12/recount-uncovers-serious-fraud-in-detroit/#E60LFHcQmefrDMMD.99

However, where one non-Clinton pollworker watched the results, only 50 votes were in the box, out of 306 “verified” on the exterior seal and 306 in the book: This according to 2014 Republic candidate Ken Crider and his wife Penny Crider:

http://www.wnd.com/2016/12/recount-uncovers-serious-fraud-in-detroit/

“The tag on the box said 306 and the book said 306 and the ticket said 306, so there should be 306 paper ballots on the box, right. Well when they pulled out the ballots the stack seemed short and when they finished separating the two page ballot to count the Presidential page only guess how many ballots were in the box? 304 no, 299 nope, 200 nada, how about 100 wrong again. There were only exactly 50 paper ballots in a locked sealed box that again was supposed to have 306.”

Sounds like an effective vote-multiplying plan that Podesta had in mind when he wanted ‘all the votes to be counted’…while we sleep.
