Is there a favorite Bible verse or Bible story that has informed your thinking or your character through life, sir?” asked host Bob Lonsberry on WHAM 1180 AM.
Trump responded, “Well, I think many. I mean, when we get into the Bible, I think many, so many. And some people, look, an eye for an eye, you can almost say that. That’s not a particularly nice thing. But you know, if you look at what’s happening to our country, I mean, when you see what’s going on with our country, how people are taking advantage of us, and how they scoff at us and laugh at us. And they laugh at our face, and they’re taking our jobs, they’re taking our money, they’re taking the health of our country. And we have to be firm and have to be very strong. And we can learn a lot from the Bible, that I can tell you.
Indeed we can learn a lot from the Bible:
[38] You have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. [39] But I say to you not to resist evil: but if one strike thee on thy right cheek, turn to him also the other: [40] And if a man will contend with thee in judgment, and take away thy coat, let go thy cloak also unto him.
Matthew 5:Â 38-40.

I don’t care what Trumps says about things theological. My favorite American theologian is Jerry Seinfeld.
.
FYI – My favorite catholic Communist is Pope Francis.

Fun fact (true or not): The pirate’s iconic eye-patch may have been due to a missing eye. It may have been an attempt to gain tactical advantage. In a fight, pirates may have to go dark under the decks. The patched eye would be accustomed to the dark and the pirate would not be blinded.
As I said before Obama in white face.
You have to hand to The Donald. He is quick with a quotation that supports his actions.
“We can learn a lot from the Bible, that I can tell you.” -Agent Orange
Ohhhh my goooodness.
Is he honestly leading in the delegate count?
Can we get him back to ToonTown soon?
Please!
Trump is such a freaking idiot. Well does he reflect the intelligence level of the average American whether on the right or on the left.
Donald, what do you think of the comparison of Donald Trump with Publius Clodius Pulcher?

Here is what someone shared with me on FB about the Clodius – Trump comparison:

“Donald, what do you think of the comparison of Donald Trump with Publius Clodius Pulcher?”
Not much. Whoever made that analogy knew precious little about the role played by Clodius in the fall of the Roman Republic. A better analogy, although still not very close, would be Trump and Marcus Licinius Crassus, the moneybags of the fall of the Republic who lusted after Imperium.
