Calexit

Ah California, the largest insane asylum in our country, with certain honorable exceptions, has groups calling for the State to secede from the Union.  They have come into the limelight due to moonbat California’s rage at the election of Trump.  I confess that I wish nothing but success for this movement with one caveat:  votes should be taken county by county as to whether to stay in the Union.  Counties voting to stay in the Union would remain American territory.  Blue enclaves could then form their Republic or Republics.  Refugees to the US would be welcome, after they step on a photo of Jerry Brown, recite the Pledge of Allegiance and use an automatic assault weapon against a target with a picture of Hollywood glitterati tacked to it.

From their mouths to God’s ears.

Even the staunchest Unionist might have to give some thought to secession if it meant getting rid of California. I’ve seen an idea floated like this before, which would carve up California into three states.

Calexit is unconstitutional. Article IV, Section 3. if the indoctrinated generation are able to read: “New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union, but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the consent of the Legislature of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.”

CA is more like a different planet than a different country, so launching it into space might be the better idea.

Article IV, Section 3 might put the kibosh on splitting Cal into separate states, but not getting rid of it all together. Then, after it leaves, those areas relatively sane can be admitted to the US as new states.

Calexit is one of the best things to come out of this election. Texas should be 110% behind it, and push for an amendment allowing any state to withdraw from the union voluntarily. This might be our chance to get the dimwits in Calipornia and New Yorkistan on board.

Calexit – finally, something the whole country can get behind!

I see in the press that the protests are mostly peaceful. I guess there’s nothing to worry about.

Let them go. The sooner the better…we are all better off without the looniness that is Los Angeles County and the Bay Area.

Some of us were talking with a delicate flower child at work today who is so offended that mysoginist, racist Trump won the election over the First Most Wonderfulest Womyn President ever. With calm reason a man senior to me explained what the facts were in Trump’s history – yes, he’s an unprincipled, foul mouthed, playboy gambler. But look at examples like JFK and Marilyn Monroe or Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinski from the other side of the aisle, or butt twerking Beyonce with her filthy mouth invited to the White House by Michelle Obama who was brought low and utterly shocked by Trump demeaning and marginalizing womyn. None of these men are perfect, and some less so than others. This delicate snow flake then interrupted the conversation (which she had started by complaining about Trump) and walked away, saying, “I have to get a drink of water.” Then an hour later the inevitable email from Human Resources came: “No political conversations at work lest someone is offended.” They never said that when their godless man of sin and depravity was shoving his womyn rights (read abortion) and marriage rights (read sodomy) down our throats. All the Dems were all over the place bragging how a new day was dawning. You know, folks, I am really sick and tired of these precious little hurt feelings from 20 something children who need about six years in the nuclear submarine force cleaning the bilges beneath the main feedwater pumps for the nuclear steam generators while on patrol in the North Atlantic in January. If this is the future of the country, then we are truly doomed. This person is among the smartest and best engineers I know, but when it comes to her anti-life heroine (who covered up her husband’s adulteries and rapes) not being elected, oh my Lord, the world is ending and all is lost! As far as I am concerned, they all need to move out of the United States. I have a nation for them: the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Right on Lucius! In reference to Calexit, I for one (of the minority) who Isn’t Insane, communistic, ignorant, brat-spoiled, & just plain all-out selfish say, “Good Ridance to Infested, indoctrinated, Garbage-brained no-talent hominids!” Now I will personally pay for one -way plane tickets to:any city in North Korea and China! WoW! These comments sound just as bigoted as the trolls on comment sections of the “Main Stream Media” without the cuss words. I was expecting a faith based site might have expressed a more tolerant & less judgmental point of view… …you know… …perhaps more Christian.

We had EIGHT long years of tolerance with sodomite marriage, abortion, etc. Christians being forced out of business for not baking cakes for sodomite marriage. Catholic nuns being forced to finance insurance for contraceptives. Etc ad nauseam. Take your tolerance and go walking. Jesus was NOT tolerant with the brood of vipers in Jerusalem. Why should we be tolerant of the same in Washington, DC?

I don’t know what you would think of my kinsman-he was a bit foul mouthed himself-but he was on a deisel sub during WWII, was as the bomb testing in the Pacific, became an electrical engineer in civilian life, and was in charge if a large power system out west. I suspect he would like you and enjoy talking energy with you.

Just for the record, the website for Yes California was up and the group’s first meeting scheduled BEFORE the election. So everything would have to have been planned back when Hillary was still expected to win by a landslide. I suspected at that time (about 3 days before Election Day, when I first saw the website) that it was primarily a liberal satire of the Texit “movement”. I still suspect it’s more of a social media gimmick than anything else.

Many of the young people here in the SF Baytheist Area are cannabis-addled or drug/etoh-intoxicated and/or suffer from a grave inability to mentally concentrate and focus. After all, look at many of their parents’ lives, and consider what those irresponsible parents were smoking/imbibing when they sired these offspring.
..
The youth are a perfect Petrie dish for the Leftist professors who overpopulate the culture here and for the political black-mold spores with which they infect their minds. A permanent, self-infatuated vacuous underclass, ready to protest and barely know why.

Also: the TV media here is totally–like totally, man—on board with the college, and even high school, protests, giving them abundant and sympathetic airtime. One night news anchor declaimed the students “were learning about their right to free speech, today.” Joy to the world.

Realistically, the students don’t learn anything in their schools here anyway: no math skills, language, hard science. Might as well run through the streets and set fires and celebrate their future permanent underclass status.

The left will not let California go… They will loose 2 senate votes, 53 in the house, and 55 electoral college votes… The reds of the DEMs would realize that without CAL they will be doomed… Sorry to say, there’s no way it will happen..

Two thoughts.
Don – it would be good to have a facility to ‘up-tick’ or ‘down-tick’ comments. 🙂
Does anyone know The Donald enough to encourage him to encourage/approve for the secession of California. The US of A would be better without them.
(Just a thought from the outer fringes of civilisation deep in the South Pacific. 🙂 )

Correct. But we don’t need California to actually leave. What we need to do is take the momentum of the “Calexit” mood and get them on board with an amendment letting any state leave if they so choose. Then states that can be (and have been) their own country before (ahem “Texas”) can turn around and wave goodbye.

Well I don’t know what this thread has to do with Catholicism, I was just surfing for Calexit info. But you fools who wish CA would leave the USA would be sorry if that ever happened In case you have not checked, we would be the 5th largest economy in the world if we were on our own (we just passed Great Britain this year). Good luck making all the high-tech equipment you are probably using right now if CA isn’t around. Oh and there is this little thing called food. We produce more food than any of those farm belt-states. Since all your entertainment will become foreign, it will cost you a lot more to see our movies, buy our music, get cable programs, etc. etc.

Ok? Although…

Good luck making all the high-tech equipment you are probably using right now if CA isn’t around.

So if you’re not going to sell all that equipment, how are you going to maintain the world’s 5th largest economy?

Oh and there is this little thing called food. We produce more food than any of those farm belt-states.

I’m guessing you mean cash receipts. And everything I can find says you’re the top by single comparison, but not by far greater than the farm-belt. It seems all of those states added together will compensate more than enough for it.

Though I think not selling it would put a damper on that 5th largest economy.

Since all your entertainment will become foreign, it will cost you a lot more to see our movies, buy our music, get cable programs, etc. etc.

Ok look, stop selling the lot of us on the idea. (although a lot of my entertainment lately seems to be coming from Vancouver, not CA)

If I had my druthers, nobody relocating from California to another state would be able to vote in any State election until they’d been resident in their new state for a minimum of five years. Or ideally, ten.

Good luck making all the high-tech equipment you are probably using right now if CA isn’t around.

Doesn’t most of the hardware that runs all that California software come from China and Taiwan anyways?

All of you are horrible, ignorant and intolerant trolls. No one has ever asked any of you to be gay or forced you to have an abortion. So what the hell are you talking about?

Government needs to get out of the bedroom and you voyeurs need to exit other people’s private lives, too.

I, for one, think the middle part of the continent should leave the U.S. and leave the original 13 (plus any other like minded states who like the convenience of modern progressive) as the rightful heirs of our nation. The ORIGINAL 13 are more Americans that the stupid inbred poor white trash in the middle.

A friend, and fellow California resident posted this on Facebook:
..

” A note about “Calexit.”

All you wags looking forward to the diseased limb of California finally being amputated from the body politic: You do realize that nearly three million Californians voted for the Republican candidate for president, right? That’s the third most in the whole country. And that’s with the usual depressed turnout because California hasn’t been a competitive state for a generation.

We also have more Catholics, Christians, and active members of the armed forces than any other state.

Ignorant Cali-bashing from flyover country is no more becoming, or based in truth, than when coastal elites call you rubes and hicks.”

As one who lives in California, I have to say he has a point. I would also like to add that instead of putting up a fight here politically, conservatives have by and large thrown in the towel. After the Governator rather courageously staked political capital on a parental consent ballot measure. After it failed , Ahnuld hid under his desk for the rest of his time as Governor. Most of the Gubernatorial, Senatorial, and congressional candidates put up by the GOP have been pathetic. They put up a liberal republican who looked like a hundred and fifty pounds of chewed bubble gum in a pantsuit named Meg Whitman to run against Moonbeam for Governor. I,was hoping the elder Duncan Hunter would have run. He would have had a shot. Although I thought she was something of an empty skirt we ran against Barbara Boxer, Carly Fiorina sure stepped up,her game big league (to quote soon-to-be POTUS DaDonald) during the GOP primary debate. She didn’t take any of Trump’s blowhardish bombast. She ought to run for governor of California. She would definitely have a shot at taking out Monnbeam. That is, of course, the national RNC strongly supports her. And that means Trump would have set aside his personal animus against her and support her.

..

Instead of moronically cheering on the Calexit idiots, conservatives need to fight to get the Ranch of Reagan back. Not only is it essential, it’s doable.

All this is, is high comedy. Evidence itself that Groupthink smashes unhappily into Reality.

Brian Sussman on KSFO radio Friday am said he was monitoring Youtube views of the Oakland riots Thursday night (11/10): One was priceless. Two vandals were trying to break into a utility box with a crowbar. When Stooge 1 finally pried the door open, it flew into the face of Stooge 2, and they started beating up on each other. Prima facie evidence of the smarts of this crowd. (It is certain they both voted for Nancy Pelosi and new Senate radical Kamala Harris.
….

Don’t make them stop: this is way better sport than the either the SF Giants or 49ers this season.
