Kermit Gosnell and the Abortion Industry
Abortion, all abortion, is violence and violence is an impermissible alternative in a world of reason.
Dr. Bernard Nathanson, Eclipse of Reason
One of the myths of the murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell is that he is not representative of the abortion industry. In regard to the manner in which Gosnell performed late term abortions, and his indifference to state laws restricting late term abortions, Gosnell is typical. Lila Rose and her intrepid band at Live Action are helping establish this fact with their patented undercover videos. From their press release:
Live Action today released an undercover video of an abortion counselor at a clinic in the Bronx, NY, describing, with gruesome details, what is done with a baby who survives an abortion attempt. This is the first in a series of undercover videos, found at www.liveaction.org/inhuman, involving a number of late-term abortion clinics engaging in illegal and inhuman practices, as well as explaining in explicit detail what happens to the victims of late-term abortion.
“Dr. Kermit Gosnell is not alone,” said Lila Rose, Founder and President of Live Action. “The gruesome and inhuman practices exposed in Gosnell’s ‘House of Horrors’ are business as usual for the abortion industry in America. These children’s lives are brutally destroyed when they are the most defenseless. This isn’t ‘choice’; this is murder.”
The Bronx, NY abortion counselor is caught on tape describing, in gruesomely precise terms, how late-term abortions happen. She details what is done with a baby after the abortion and advises to “flush” the baby down the toilet if he or she is delivered at home before the final stage of the two- or three-day abortion procedure.
Go here to read the rest. In his 1979 book Aborting America Dr. Bernard Nathanson, co-founder of Naral, and a man who performed some 60,000 abortions before ultrasound made him recognize the humanity of the life he had been destroying, described late term abortions that duplicated Gosnell’s techniques. In 1987 he filmed a late term abortion in Eclipse of Reason. The video below, and I caution viewers that it is ugly, albeit not a fraction as ugly as the horrible reality it documents. The truth about Kermit Gosnell’s trial is that it brings this horror front and center, and powerful forces in our society will do anything to avoid the American people contemplating what goes on in an abortion: murder, plain and simple.
